Stayed here for three nights (August 2012). For about $100 US per night we got a basic room with two twin beds, en suite, with a mini fridge, and a small stove top (downstairs will lend you a set of dishes, pots & pans). Oslo is a very expensive city (says the New Yorker) beers in the bars will run...

This is a late review, i stayed here last 2010. ANKER HOSTEL is just few blocks only from the Central Station though it's around 300-400m walk I didn't really mind coz it's safe and cold...Besides, when I asked a police man for directions, he advised me to just walk :) The area is somewhere at the end of the busy...

The room was ok although the beds weren't brilliant. Kitchen in the room is strange because the smells and heat from ppl cooking is horrible. That is if you cook, the kitchen wasn't exactly equipped. You have to pay for sheets and the staff are extremely rude, not even a smile. Good enough for s night, would not stay again.

It was a cold, noisy and too big hostel. After checking out, I forgot some of my clothes in the 8-person dorm but the hostel owners didn't led me in to search them... They just sent me away. That's no good service. It wasn't that cheap 23 euro's/night but the cheapest possibility to sleep in Oslo. Positive thing: the cosy...

Fairly close to transport, Tiny common room, toilet in with shower & no extras on the floors. No in room lockers & only tiny free lockers downstairs. Swipe cards difficult to work. Laundry outside, on far side of carpark..... only 1 washer/ dryer.

Location wise is actually pretty alright. You need to walk about 10-15mins to get to the centre of Oslo, but it's doable. You do however, need to pay extra for bed linens, pillow covers etc. So if you are planning to stay here and want to save some costs, it will be good to bring them. There are free wifi...

We were just looking for cheap accommodation for one night in Oslo, and did not have high expectations for this place. But on arriving to find out that basic amenities like bedlinen and towels are not included in the rate, we felt cheated. Summing up the room rate and extra charges, this place was no cheaper than an ordinary 3-star...

It's a bit out of the centre but close to nightlife attractions, even if the location at night is kind of scary. Very expensive to normal standarts, but we are talking about Norway, so yeah. You make the reservation only for the bed and mattress, everything else is an extra and not so cheap as well, bed covers, towels, breakfast....

very well located. Good price compared to other hostels in Oslo. The rooms are quite simple, but enough to spend a couple of days.
