I stumbled across Intermission after a wet, cold night spent camping on one of the mountains outside Bergen. We'd visited Tourist Information and were given a list of hostels in the city, of which Intermission was the cheapest. After walking there (its 5 to 10 minutes walk from the fish market and main centre, less than 5 minutes to the...

Stayed here for 2 nights with my bf. This is a nice enough place. Best thing to recommend it is the lovely young people running it. They usually something communal going on at night :) It's one massive dorm room but surprisingly quiet and comfy (plus the linen is free). They have a great common room (board games) and a...

I rented a bed here for about seven days with some friends and this is definitely the best deal for your money. Free wifi, free washer/dryer, free waffles two nights a week, cheap breakfast, outdoor grill, indoor kitchen, showers, board games, piano, and wifi. The location is quite central, some would say it is a 5 min walk to Festplassen...

It was the welcoming communal atmosphere of Intermission Hostel which made me decide to extent my stay in Bergen by an extra day when travelling. The staff, who are mostly American students, but also some Norwegians, are extremely friendly and great fun to talk to. The big-room sleeping arrangement works surprisingly well and people are very considerate not to make...

This hostel is located very close to the bus and train station, and to the city center. If you're looking for privacy, it's probably not the best for you - there is not much privacy in that hostel, since it is basically a large room with about 30 beds. However, this makes the atmosphere really nice! They have a large...

Had a lot of trouble finding a place to sleep in Bergen. The hostel was full but the staff went out of their way to find another hostel and offered me a couch at a discounted price when that didn't work. Installations are great. Nothing bad to say about this place.

Because of that we didnt had to sleep outside so we took the shot. They gave us a discount and payed 100 kr. Very cheap for the fascilitities inside. The staff...

A very good hostel in a very good price. An excellent choice if you want to meet people. This hostel is near the train station whice is near the center, so you could walk this in about 10 minutes. Its good idea to make a reservation before you get there

Bergen is expensive....very expensive. but when we found this Hostel at 180Kr per person...what a surprise. Free parking, free Wifi, brand new beds..in a very relaxed atmosphere with very friendly staff. They are located fairly close to the old historic Bergen (15mn walk). I recommend this Hostel
