I was excited to stay in a pension/guesthouse for the first time on this trip and this place did not disappoint. Cozy, quiet, and as a single woman traveling alone, I felt very safe. In a pricey city, having breakfast every morning included in the price per night was a wonderful perk as well! My favorite part was the little...

Visited here for the 3rd time in 4 years, each time as a professional attending a conference alone and looking for somewhere clean, safe and reasonably priced in a wonderful city where everything is a lot more expensive than back home in the UK. At current exchange rates it works about £50 per night B&B whereas most hotels are around...

Good location just up the hill from the main part of town with nice view. Room was smaller than expected but clean. We were disappointed the morning we checked out as all guests indicate what time they would like breakfast. We signed up for 7am (along with another individual staying there) and had told the host we had to leave...

Located in the nicest area in Bergen, lovely old house, nicely decorated, with a fantastic view on the city and the harbor, and a very helpful and accomodating host. Nice breakfast, cookies for tea, lovely living room with a view, just the right place to visit Bergen! And an incredible good value for Norway! Just go there, and nowhere else!!!!

The B&B is in a great location -- near the funicular and old town. It is up the hill and the taxi did not drive us up to the door. We blame the taxi driver for not wanting to drive the small roads. The hike was not bad -- especially after riding a train for the day. We had the...

For our two nights in Bergen we wanted a centrally located self catering place with character, and Skansen perfectly fitted the bill. We took the small appartement as it has own shower room (with underfloor heating😀) and also a small kitchenette with fridge, coffee making facilities (inc filter machine) and stove. Breakfast was provided upstairs, and Skansen is in easy...

I was late arriving but welcomed with a smile. This is a comfortable, relaxed place with character (in a nice way!) and great value for Bergen. You get a good continental spread for breakfast, plus a boiled egg to order. Tea, coffee and biscuits available in a little lounge area 24/7 and heaps of info for travellers. I had the...

We were looking for B&B accommodation in Bergen with its own bathroom and we couldn't find many options. I saw the previous reviews re Skansen Pensjonat and booked the one bedroom self-contained apartment. Whilst it would be wrong to describe it as luxurious it was well equipped if you wanted to self-cater (we didn't), it was warm via underfloor heating...

Definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for somewhere relatively affordable and in walking distance to everything you'd want to see and do in Norway. I stayed in a lovely bedroom with a really nice view of the city. All of the rooms with private bathrooms were taken, but the place is small enough that sharing wasn't such an issue....

The house was lovely and the owner was very welcoming. There were many thoughtful touches, such as umbrellas provided and tea making facilities left in the living room. As a I left early, she even made me a takeaway breakfast. The views were great and it was only a short walk to everywhere.
