4 of us stayed in a 6 bedroom dorm. Bunk beds with a clean en suite and shower. Bedding included. Hostel was warm, clean and the kitchen was well stocked with a shop next door. Close to anything you'd like to do in Bergen. Hostel wifi is fast and the common room is a great place to chill out and... More

Three of us stayed in a 4 bed dorm and we had it to ourselves which was good. Very clean, good kitchen. Rooftop terrace would be nice to hang out on but it was too cold for too much of that in late September.

I stayed for 2 nights in the top story of the building. The room was clean and tidy, however quite sparingly hot water in the shower.Bring some warm clothing as the heaters are preprogrammed and cant keep the room warm enough. The receptionists seemed disinterested in being serviceminded, especially an asian lady that was arrogant and grumpy.Otherwise fine overall.

It's a great place to stay in Bergen, probably the cheapest as well. It's just in the heart of the city, the comfort is really high. You can get there coffee and tea for free, the kitchen is perfectly equipped. What i like the most about this place was the room where you could have mingled a bit with some... More

This is by far, one of the cheapest accommodation directly at the core of Bergen. For one, its really convenient. ATM machines are nearby. Restaurants are close. Fish markets and souvenir shops as well. On the possible downside, it is a hostel after all. So if you are sensitive to creaking noises of door opening or people climbing up to... More

Very good price for the city. Good for people looking for a decent place to sleep. Have a pretty decent kitchen to cook as well as a nice spacious common area to eat / work. Not a very social place though.

The place is huge, the only drag is that you have to be careful with your check in (the front desk people arrive late) and ALWAYS keep your keycard close to you because you need it for everything. The hostel is pretty avarage with the cleanliness, the wifi is not very good (its better to use the wifi from the... More

Bergen YMCA Hostel is located in City center of Bergen. It is closed to Fish Market, Tourist Information, Korskirken, Vågen, not far to Bryggen World Heritate and Fløibanen. I stayed over for 1 night in 4-Bed room. There is a shower/toilet in the room but No hanger in the shower room. Low Wi-fi connection in your room but you can... More

This was the most reasonable option for our family, during a one-night stay in Bergen. Hotel prices in Norway are ridiculously high, with a poor return on service and amenities. Being a hostel, one cannot compare against services at a hotel, but having stayed in several hostels around the world, I would have to say this was a disappointment. We... More

I know that this is the cheapest hostel in Bergen and I shouldnt expect much, but the reception is really UNFRENDLY. my friends and I booked the wrong dates (and We are so thankful because now we dont have to stay in YMCA), and the reception didnt do much to help us either. Initially I thought, probably this is the... More
