The trek up the staircase to the second floor with two heavy suitcases and two rucksacks nearly killed me (no lift and no porter) and the room was a big disappointment. There was just room for a double bed, a chair and a TV, and the bathroom appeared to have been built into a walk-in cupboard up a set of...

After our car had broken down, we were lucky to find this hotel. The staff was excellent. Very friendly and extremely helpful, also with getting the luggage which was 100km away. Breakfast was the best I have ever had. All in all, exceptional.

Steens Hotel sits opposite a park with a short but steep walk down to the centre of the city, with a central spiral staircase leading to around 20 rooms. The breakfast room in the middle floor has a large stained glass window, and permanent on tap tea and coffee. Very comfortable rooms, albeit with a small ensuite, and excellent breakfasts...

Steen's Hotel in downtown Bergen offers plenty of charm, comfort and value. Our room was quite spacious with a balcony overlooking the Nygårdspark and pond. Very quiet neighborhood by the University of Bergen campus. 5 minute walk to city center. Parking right outside the hotel.

I stayed here one night on the way home from an Arctic cruise. The hotel's common areas are quite charming, decorated with period antiques. The breakfast room (former dining room) is stunning, a glimpse into what the house looked like originally. You can get yourself coffee and other hot drinks there whenever you like. Some of the negative aspects could...

Very nice Hotel. Services very very good, breakfast as well. It is located close to the train station (could be a problem if you have extensive luggage). The rooms aer very well designed. The only thing that could miss in the rooms would be some books on the book shelters, but it is very cozy and you feel very good....

This hotel is for those who like a relaxed style. Please stay away so that I can book a stay. The hotel is often too full, so that I have to stay somewhere else. Too good value for money. But please book if I already have a booking.

This is a very good hotel with a nice, quiet location, helpful staff and good rooms. The breakfast was fantastic. The only problem we had is that it is not very close to the centre of the city, so we had a reasonable walk whenever we wanted to go somewhere

We got off the Flybuss from the airport at the main bus station in Bergen, but had a very hard time locating this hotel. Unfortunately the phone had lost it's saved Google map, and we had no wifi access. One woman we met on the street must have thought we looked bewildered, as she asked us if she could help....

It's a quirky hotel in a building that was once a grand home. Our room was small, but we've stayed in smaller. The walls are far from soundproof, but we've stayed in noisier places. And yes it is overpriced, from our perspective, though that also seems true of every hotel and restaurant in Norway. Because it's on a hill, a...
