Private rooms upstairs, dorms downstairs. I stayed in dorm (male/coed). Large dorm with bunk beds - what you'd expect in a hostel. Adjacent lounge is comfortable, but lacks natural light. Well equipped modern kitchen facility and free use of laundry (washing machines and tumble dryer). Free wifi. Good provision of toilet and shower facilities. Good breakfast included in price. Staff...

I stayed here for 1 night while visiting Alesund in November with a friend. Probably the best thing about the hostel is the location -- it is really right in the middle of Alesund. You can walk to everything in town, and it was easy taking a bus from the airport to get to the hostel. The staff was very...

Historic building in town center providing a variety of accommodation. Situated opposite the park from which you can climb the steps to Fellstua for those memorable views across the town and surround fjords and mountains. Dormitory accommodation is in the basement and may be a “work in progress”. This is what it was like in 2015. Fair sized self-catering kitchen...

Where to start. This Hostel obviously had a previous life as a YMCA, and possibly still has, judging by the stacks of Bibles and hymn books lying around. The religious murals on the walls of the large hall, now used as the Hostel common room, would look well in any church. We stayed two nights in a very small room...

This place was exactly what it says on the tin. Cheapest place by far and also very comfortable. Lovely staff but the best was breakfast. The breakfast was so good - fresh, large selection, tasty and traditionally norwegian. I absolutely recommend this place. Takk :) :)

We arrived in Aalesund with a Hurtigruten boat from Bergen 9 a.m, and eventhough check in was from 14- the owner came early- so we could leave luggage there and not to carry them around. After that we rented a car and went to Atlantic road and agreed with the owner to come at 8 pm. back so at that...

Prior notice: do please keep in mind that this review was written by a family (parents + 2 nearly adult girls): for families staying at least two nights, you might get a very nice apartment downtown (the hostel has 5 of them); ours was located Kipervingata. So if you are not staying with at least 4 persons during two nights...

Stayed here for the second time. First in an apartement, now in a room for four persons. It is a hostel and quite simple, but the service is excellent. We arrived close to midnight and had to leave at 0530 for our flight. The reception made breakfast boxes for us and put in the fridge! Also free parking over night...
