We stayed at a nearby hotel but I wanted to have local craft beer and stopped in the bar of this hotel. The bar was very nice and from what I could tell the hotel reception and restaurant was very nice. The location of this hotel is very good.

I must confess that I am a design snob. I booked the Hotel Brosundet when I learned that the same architect who designed the Oslo Opera House was responsible for the hotel design. And from a design point of view, the hotel did not disappoint. The architect has effectively created a contemporary hotel while retaining many structural aspects of the...

This hotel was absolutely incredible. My wife and I stayed here while vacationing in Norway. We were able to park right out front, when we arrived, which may not always be the case due to the location. Our room faced the water, and you really can't beat the unique scenery out the window. We had a great time walking through...

Beautiful hotel with a lot of character right in the middle of town. The service was a little arrogant but otherwise a clean, and beautiful hotel with tons of character. Walking distance to everything in town.

A great spot for visiting Alesund. Parking right around the corner approx USD 18 for 24 hours or street parking if available. With street parking you need to move the car before 8AM. Hotel is terrific. Room 404 on the water side. Quiet and comfortable. Merethe at the reception will take great care during your stay. Relaxing bar area. Bicycles...

Warning: NO AC! If you must have air conditioning, don't book here. Now that's out of the way, all in all the hotel is very good - we had a 2 bedroom suite, very artsy yet functional furniture and decor. The building has a certain style to it, overlooking water, and has a quaint, quirky feel.

The hotel is set in a fairytale area of Alesund around the harbour. It is beautiful. The hotel was originally part of the fish warehouses. The rooms are very small and there is no air conditioning. There is little storage and not much room for 2 large suitcases. We found it quite warm and needed to sleep with the windows...

One of the better quality hotels in Alesund but lacking in some basics. Unless you're lucky enough to secure one of the three parking spots outside the hotel, you'll be spending an extra $20 a night to park in a nearby garage. We were unable to get a room overlooking the water and had to settle for something on the...

We liked being on the water in central Alesund. The hotel staff were very helpful, and we were very lucky to find a parking space right outside the entrance. Good place for a one night stay on the way in to the fjords.

Nicely located on the water, cute interior decoration. Most of the staff are friendly and efficient. But one night during our stay happened to coincide with student celebrations on the bridge across the water (at 3 am).

Dear sir/madam, Thank you for taking time to review your stay. I am sorry that noise in the city center bothered you. Hotel Brosundet is located in the midle of Ålesund and during weekends there might be some fuss from the city life.. We hope to see you again soon.
