This was one of the best hotels that we stayed in during our fjord tour of Norway. It is centrally situated in Alesund - a small coastal town with plenty to do over a few nights stay. It is small & intimate & with a real eye for design. It has exposed beams & snug with fire, a friendly bar...

Staff: Welcoming, very friendly and helpful. Room: I had a superior room, which was spacious, had a lovely view and a Japanese bathtub - short but deep. Room was rustic and modern at the same time, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast: Good breakfast, not a vast selection but nice. The homemade marmalade was lovely. Conclusion: would I stay here again...

We arrived in rain and departed in rain. You don't go to Ålesund for the weather, but do go there for Hotel Brosundet. We were greeted as VIPs, given a room with great wiev of the canal. The room was rather small, but contained what you need for a short stay maybe we would like to have more stowageroom .And...

Magical setting. Cosy, beautifully done. Really comfy bed with view out across the water. Delicious breakfast in bed delivered to your door in the morning! Great way to spend an anniversary. Maki seafood restaurant is fantastic. Best fish soup we've ever tasted! Just be prepared to pay for it..! Alesund is a tranquil and sleepy town, absolutely beautiful but if...

Great rooms on the waterside.. Very nice decor with comfortable beds, TV and minibar. Good size bathrooms. Only complaint is wooden beams invite a head disaster. Nice window in our trim but small in our kids room. Good dinner but a bit spendy.

The Hotel Brosundet is in a beautiful part of Alesund right on the water and is worth making sure you have a room overlooking the canal. The rooms are small, but have everything you would need and the heated bathroom floors are an added perk for the cooler nights. We had previously stayed at the Thon Hotel in Oslo and...

This hotel was a huge disappointment. We arrived mid day on Saturday. The front desk was staffed by an inexperienced young woman who, to put it mildly, was surly and less than interested in being of help. No bell person at the hotel and no parking available. Our parking inquiry was greeted with a "3 blocks away, Kr 15.00 for...

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. It is an old warehouse so the floors and walls are slightly wonky and slanted, which adds some lovely character to the place. But note, all the furniture in the bedroom is specially designed so it is all level. The room was fairly small, but not cramped. It had a minibar and kettle (twinnings tea...

We had the pleasure of getting married in Alesund and chose the lighthouse room to spend our wedding night. What a magical place - worth the money! In summer you really appreciate the midnight sun and early sunrise from this spot on the edge of the harbour. Not much space but it has everything you could wish for. Highlight was...

Walking into the lobby of this hotel really makes up for the skies being grey and gloomy outside. A quirky, elegant spot in central Ålesund. Good service, free wifi, lovely rooms that pull off being on the smaller side with admirable elegance. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was excellent, the waterpressure and temperature of the shower A+ (Because...
