Location perfect to walk everywhere in the Mumbles area (and we did!). 0.5 miles from the town and plenty of free parking in the Hotel grounds. Breakfast was good and served by staff very conscious about Covid security. Our room (no:11) was lovely and serviced every day. The only problem was the location was on the way to the night entrance and sadly some guests did forget that not everyone is awake at 1 in the morning - obviously not a fault of the hotel!! Sadly too we were subject to a noisy pump at times when people used in showers first thing! The staff couldn't do enough for you and are an asset to the hotel.
We had a very pleasant stay at Norton House. The situation of the hotel is excellent, just 100yds from the front, but up a side road, so very quiet. There is plenty free parking, which is a bonus. It's a very easy walk into the centre of Mumbles, with lots of good restaurants and nice shops. The best bit for us was the pedestrian promenade along the front, which goes all the way from the lighthouse end of Mumbles to Swansea. Our bedroom, Room 1, in the main house, was beautifully decorated and very clean, if a bit on the small side. The ensuite was lovely and the shower was good but would benefit from an instruction card. Our Sunday lunch was ok, but unfortunately the lamb was not good. Breakfasts were average. Pleasant, helpful staff. Beautiful gardens and lovely outdoor seating area. I would recommend this hotel and we will return.…
We stayed at the Norton Hotel Mumbles. We found it to be just ok. Nothing special. Staff ok too. You must visit Verddis and the Mermaid restuarant. Absolutely stunning, staff and food wonderful. We wouldn't stay at the Norton again
My wife and I have just returned from a delightful 2 night stay. We had a lovely room towards the rear of the property which was well appointed, nicely decorated and very comfortable and extremely quiet. The car parking space is very good (but avoid parking under the enormous tree in the bottom right hand corner as it would appear every bird in Swansea spends the night!). The breakfasts we had were excellent with a very good choice. The staff are great and very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend a stay at the Norton House Hotel.
Our small family group wanted 3 nights away in The Mumbles. Norton House offered us an apartment.. two bedrooms…a lounge …and a kitchenette.. The staff were very helpful.. the restaurant food was excellent…breakfast a bit slow but we are living still with covid processes. Norton House is literally 100yds from the front…which offers a great walk along to the pier. Overall very pleased with our choice..
