How do I even begin to describe our wonderful 10 day stay at La Samanna? It's hard to put into words the magic of this place. My family goes on many high end beach vacations, but I'm not sure any really compare to this place. So, while it's hard to describe the beauty of the place let me begin to try: 1. Hotel and grounds--simply spectacular. The main building is set up on a cliff overlooking the ocean, and this is where 2 of the restaurants and the main bar are located. Simply fantastic views. We had sunset cocktails at the main bar every evening, not to mention breakfast daily. It's simply breathtaking. It's unlike any other property I've ever stayed at, because you are up on a high cliff overlooking the water. Breathtaking. 2. Beach--You walk down to the beach, which is simply amazing. Not crowded at all. The resort itself wasn't at full occupancy when we were there, but I imagine it wouldn't be crowded even at peak season. The service at the beach is exceptional, as they are always there to refill your water, take a drink order or fluff your towels. And the views from the beach are something to behold--the beautiful turquoise waters on one side, and the cliffs on the other. Remarkable. The water itself is crystal clear, and the perfect temperature. I enjoyed the fact that there was a pretty significant drop off, so you didn't have to walk out forever until you got to deep water. Basically, you walked out a few steps until you couldn't touch bottom. Swim noodles were readily available if needed. 3. Rooms--We had a wonderful one bedroom suite up on the cliff. Very spacious, with a nice veranda overlooking the water. There are other rooms available on the beach. We loved our room on the cliff--would have been interesting to see the rooms on the beach and how they compare as far as views go. But regardless of where on the property you are, you are never more than a few steps from the main house and the beach, as it's quite a small property. 4. Service--as you would expect, the service was great. The staff made all of our dinner reservations, arranged our taxis to dinner, and handled any other requests we might have. The bartenders were super, the concierge was great, the beach staff were fantastic, and the front desk was most helpful. After a few days they would recognize you and call you by name. Well, I've tried as best I could to describe this place. The fact that it is situated on a cliff overlooking the water, but still has easy access to the beach, makes the setting unlike any other. Add in the level of service, and the beautiful island of Saint Martin, and you've got a perfect beach vacation.…

We spend our anniversary week here and had a very relaxing stay. At some resorts you almost have to fight for a chair by the pool but it wasn't a problem here. The staff is very accommodating. Special kudos to Nico by the beach and Anastasia by the pool. Nico would really go out of his way to help us. Our room overlooked the water and the beach and pool were steps away.

This was our 3rd visit to La Samanna.and it gets better each time! We just returned from a wonderfull week at La Samanna. The property is beautiful - Rooms, public spaces, food and service could not have been better! The views from our terrace were gorgeous -from sunrise to sunset. And everyone we encounted at the hotel was very solicitous and extremely friendly. Whether we were at the pools, the beach, the restaurants, the gym or spa, we always felt so welcomed. A new restaurant, La Spiaggia, was recently added since our last visit in 2019. It was great to have another dining option at the hotel. The food and service were excellent! La Samanna is a winner!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the La Samanna property in St. Martin. It was a top notch experience from beginning to end. The staff is warm and welcoming ensuring each moment was a memorable experience. We highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the island. The views are amazing and you feel as though you have the beach to yourselves. The food was never disappointing and you felt cared for the entire time. I wish we could have stayed longer to experience more excursions and services offered.

La Samanna is an exceptional resort. It has a great feel to it. The staff is fantastic and go out of their way to help. The nicest beach in the Caribbean with great water sports desk. Great tennis and tennis clinics. Everything you could imagine at the breakfast buffet and really fine dinning.
