We held my sons 5th birthday party at the Lansdowne hotel on Saturday, he and his friends had such a great time. The staff were really helpful, even when I asked if they could help rearrange the room with the bouncy castle last minute! The food and tea/coffee was perfect, and the room was just the right size for lots...

Stayed here numerous times. Dependable service, comfort, courteous staff, warm welcome and nice rooms - even a welcome for our dogs. This time our visit was spoiled completely - even though the staff did their best to correct it - by the selfish behaviour of some of the guests. OK one of the lifts wasn't working and this possibly increased...

We stayed as a family of three (2 adults and a 7 year old) for 2 nights in February 2017. We got an excellent price for a family room with breakfast on line. Hotel itself is situated on the front and many rooms including ours have a sea view. The hotel itself is quite dated but very well maintained. There...

Obtaining a last minute booking for a family room bed and breakfast for less than £50 we were expecting some poky little room with a below average breakfast. We got a junior suite clean comfortable with all the facilities in a spacious room.Break fast was a superb buffet with nicely cooked food and a good selection of bread and pastries...

We have stayed at the Lansdowne before and this was another successful visit. We had a lovely sea view room and although only one lift was working at least the other one wasn't that far from our room. Breakfast was excellent and we had a restaurant and bar meal, both of which were very good. The town is about a...

Spent two cold days in eastbourne but the hotel was lovely and warm friendly staff. Restaurant food and bar food was excellent couldnt fault the service. Bedroom was clean and tidy, with a sea view. Shower curtain was the only let down, rather than a screen, very invigorating shower.

Polite staff. Lovely layout with different lounges to visit. Only one lift working which mad it a bit longer to get to the upper storeys and rooms. Nice clean room and quite a good space. Bar meal in the evening very nice and reasonable price. The one thing that spoilt it all for me was the breakfast, I was down...

Recently visit the Lansdowne Hotel for a two day break with another couple. First impressions from the outside were very good and this continued with a nice welcome in reception. The car parking arrangement were explained ( limited free parking in the street) but for the princely sum of one pound you could purchase a parking voucher which would enable...

Stayed one night in 2 sea view rooms with my family, it's an ok place, old but helpfull staff. Good views if only the beach was prettier. It's stones and far from a glamorous beach resort. It's cheap and a free breakfast in the morning with as much as you can eat and believe the guests did. All furniture is...

Such a treat to find a hotel that is dog friendly and so welcoming. Very friendly reception staff and a warm hotel in the cold weather without being stuffy. Just cross the road to the beach and gardens. There is a doggy-friendly lounge to enjoy a drink in the evening, complete with dog bed and doggy treats. We had a...
