Stayed one night on a business trip. Found a very friendly welcome at a place oozing with charm and history. The room was very quiet and comfortable. The food excellent and a cracking breakfast (not usual as a vegetarian I often find toast is the only thing on offer at other places) I am adding this to my list of... More

Stayed here overnight, the pub was packed with all ages of customers, some dining and others just chatting over a drink. The landlord and wife make you feel welcome. The breakfast was superb. Would recommend for drinks meals and as a B&B at only £60 a night

Had a lovely meal with friends and family here. Very friendly and attentive service in a wonderfully quaint and historic setting. The night was sealed beautifully by watching a great performance by Green Room Productions upstairs in the pub's function room. Fab evening and will definitely be back.

Decided to book two nights in The Lamb Inn for a birthday surprise. Always a risk but no worry was required. We arrived at 8:30pm on Friday, the staff were very busy but they welcomed us like long lost friends. We then had a meal, it is not your usual pub food. It was well cooked, all from fresh and... Beautiful old pub with perfectly conditioned Harvey's ale. Staff were attentive while remaining unobtrusive throughout the evening. I opted for the bream and was not disappointed, the fish was cooked perfectly! Need I say more...

The waitress is very kind and good attention. The building is good, although I tried something very simple (Prawns cocketail sandwich) and nice white wine! I thing on weekend there might is very interesting pub-tavern!

Been there many times, mostly to enjoy a drink with friends for the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Dined there too quite a few times, always nice and tasty food even if a little unimaginative. If you're local, you probably already know The Lamb but if visiting Eastbourne, I'd certainly recommend a visit. And if travelling from abroad, this is an... More

A weekend stay , lovely breakfast included . Parking available & bus stop right outside the pub into Eastbourne or a bus across the road to Brighton . We stayed there when the Airshow was on , the owners & the staff were really friendly & helpful .

Having had good food here in past, this evening was disappointing. Starter, pulled pork bonbons, tasted like pulled tuna. Mains of Rye Plaice, ok but not good. Ice cream dessert good. For a special evening out- feel a little let down

An unexpected surprise in that it was more than we expected as far as pub accommodationot goes. It ticked all the boxes in size, cleanliness and although a little dated, it was very comfortable. Fresh towels daily, chamber maid services daily and anything which required attention, was dealt with straight away. The food was fantastic starting with either a full... More
