Seduced by an attractive price, I decided to book the Cavendish for the night. Of course the catch was that I had a basement room with no windows which I didn't know about in advance. Although the lack of view was not a problem, two points to consider for the unwary are that the positive pressure ventilation system is very...

Where do I start? We parked in the hotel car park on arrival, as this seemed the most normal option. It wasn't until we'd paid an extra £4 for this on top of the room, that we found out it would've only cost £1 if we'd parked outside on the road. The reception staff on arrival were very off-hand, and...

This hotel is situated right on the seafront giving great views of the beach and pier. The room was large and the bed was enormous and very comfortable. All the staff we encountered were polite and courteous. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice. There is a nice bar to sit and overlook the sea. My only...

My daughters had bought me a cream tea for Mother's Day so we visited the cavendish on Friday - very excited. The service was poor - nobody directed us to our seats. The radio was on so the atmosphere was awful - at one point there was heavy metal playing in the background. The view could have been lovely if...

I recently stayed at The Cavendish for a weekend break - wonderful hotel. Top class of hotel in Eastbourne with a very professional, lovely team. Great service and great location - the hotel faces a picturesque section of the beach. The continental breakfast included daily was really good quality. The people working at the hotel went above and beyond for...

The location of the hotel is very good. Just in front the sea and very close to town centre. I would recommend to go for the sea view room. The room was clean and spaceous. The staff at the restaurant was brilliant and the food was great. In contrast to this the reception team was painfully average. Not very friendly...

If I had the telephone for the local territorial army office I would have asked them to bring some sandbags to my hotel room at the cavendish hotel because my god the bathroom was seriously flooding which managed to leak into the bedroom in front of the door way. Secondly, the room was hotter than the hinges of the gates...

Booked in for 5 nights for short holiday break. Our initial room was dirty with torn net curtains. The verandah was grubby with several pigeon spiked boards lying around which could have caused an injury. They could have fallen from the roof area. My wife complained and we were offered another room which was much cleaner. However the extractor fan...
