Friendly reception and nice, well equipped, clean room... Street parking with permits from hotel. But disappointed when it certainly to breakfast as I went down at required opening time and no movement, so no breakfast so disappointed :(

You booked via booking.com and paid a reduced 'room only rate' therefore no breakfast was included in your substantially reduced rate. I am glad you found the reception friendly especially as you checked in at 10 pm - 3 hours after our advertised check in time, with no prior warning. Hope you agree that your review is 'Nice but rather...

I stayed here the night before the Beachy Head Marathon. I emailed in advance regarding an early breakfast and was pleased to receive a swift and positive response. However whilst checking in I double checked and the gentleman seemed to know nothing about it and made me feel like it was a hassle. It took a while to find my...

Dear Guest, I admit I had a small problem to find your booking, it took a few minutes. If I forgot to say sorry I'm very sorry about that, I got stressed, there was no bad day! I thought I was nice by letting you have a Twin room instead of a single room as you booked and paid for....

Great location, permit vouchers given for your stay, room small but adequate. Breakfast was exceptional as was the hosts welcome and assistance during my stay. I was happy to be contacted by the hosts as soon as I left to say I had left items and had the opportunity to return and pick them up.

Fabulous service, they went over and above with friendliness and service. Although, up many stairs to our room. Lovely cosy bed, so, so clean, home from home. great location, for all amenities, pubs, restaurants, theatre. parking was arranged. will definitely going back when we stay in Eastbourne.

A one night stay for five of us after doing the 14 mile coastal walk from Seaford to Eastbourne. Very helpful early in the morning when we arrived during breakfast to sort out our parking vouchers, and a warm welcome on our return in the evening. Very comfortable rooms and a great breakfast with lovely service. An excellent B&B.

The Sherwood is a "bed and breakfast" about 150 yards from the seafront promenade and very close to the Winter Gardens. We had quite a few steps to ascend to reach our room, but fortunately my back was behaving itself! the room was well equipped, very clean with most things that one could want. The only real negative was that...

Stayed 2 nights for walking the 7 Sisters Seaford to Eastbourne coastal path. Convenient location near sea front, restaurants, bars and bus stop for transport to Seaford. Rooms compact but with all facilities, comfortable, quiet. Breakfasts moderate size but great.

We stayed here for 4 nights and can only say that it was really good place to stay, the couple who owned and run the place are really friendly ,and know how to run a guest house. The breakfast was always cooked perfect, and everything was clean, can recommend this place, very close to the sea. Would go back.

Very friendly and professionally run guest house. Clean and well maintained. Perfect location very close to Devonshire Park, sea front and good restaurants. As the building is typical of 'traditional Eastbourne', it has several flights of stairs - not an especial problem but worth enquiring if you have mobility issues. Good breakfast.

A nice B&B located on the seafront. The room was comfortable and a good size for two adults and one child. There was a good selection on offer for breakfast; in short it ticks all the boxes for a short stay.
