We always try to eat at the poolside restaurant at the empire hotel every time we go to Llandudno for a dew days. Last night we had chicken liver pate, followed by 8oz rib eye steak then for dessert I had lemon meringue pie and my partner had chocolate orange cheesecake with raspberry roulade......everything home cooked by top quality chefs....

The food here is great, its just a shame that the service doesn't match. Went tonight as part of a birthday celebration and was appalled by abhorrently rude waiting staff throughout the evening. We were a large party spending over £600 during our visit and not one of us would choose to return. Although the food was delicious, the service...

Wow, what a find this place is, great location for the shops, tram, beach, and the list goes on. Wonderful decor and staff, the perfect place to stay and even just to sit in the lounge with a drink looking out of the window at the sea views, the history is perfect and attention to detail is second to none....

From the welcome on arrival through to bags collected for our departure, we had an excellent faultless stay, far exceeding our expectations. The room was newly renovated, modern with a traditional twist, the spa area tranquil and the food excellent. Service at its best especially welcoming for our 22 month old. We will be back. Thank you to the whole...

Our first overnight stay at the Empire and we weren't dissapointed. From the reception to bar area, restaurant and maids everyone was friendly and welcoming. We booked a budget queen room so didn't have any expectations however, we were blown away with both the size of the room and also the facilities. A welcoming glass of sherry, bathrobes, a nice...

We never stay anywhere else when we are in Llandudno overnight. Great friendly staff as always, food very good, had the ribeye steak which was cooked to perfection, but onions, mushrooms and the chips could have done with being hotter only warm. Breakfast sets you up for the whole day, with never ending toast and tea or coffee as much...

We stayed here for a weekend on recommendation from a friend ( still a friend, I'm glad to say) This is something of an institution in Llandudno and has lots of repeat guests as well as newbies, like us. The hotel is well situated at the end of the main shopping street and only a stones throw (literally) from the...

Love The Empire, 40 years of staying here 'says it all' really ! We make several visits a year, one of which is to celebrate a family birthday in Feb. Home from home, all the team are old friends, we are made so welcome. Great food, great service, lovely warm rooms, with individual aircon and heating controls, spotlessly clean, comfy...

This was my tenth visit which tells its own story. The facilities are excellent, the food is really good and the staff are very welcoming. It's almost like a second home! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Llandudno.
