I stayed at the iris hotel whilst on an intensive driving course Lovely b/fast clean facility's lovely comfortable bed quite during the night . It's right on the beach road great views short stroll to all the shops I would reccomend and service with a smile Reception team helpful and extremely polite .
We were booked into the Elsinore but moved to the Iris due to renovations. The young man on reception was very friendly and helpful as was the young lady on breakfast duty. We were in room 204 with a sea view and couldn’t fault the hotel, staff or location. We will definitely return.
The room and facilities were fantastic and the location is ideal for the centre, beach, station and buses, Great Orme tram (when it is running!) Initial 'welcome' was more or less go away you are too early!! Thankfully on my return there was someone really nice and helpful on the desk who was faultless. Then in the morning when I needed to check out there was no one at all soI had to lob the key over the protective glass and hope for luck! 8:50am so not that early. No breakfast served until 9:30 for some weird reason so didn't bother with that even if it was included. Noisy nutter guests in the hotel unfortunately. Not dangerous, just thick and inconsiderate. Not exactly the hotels fault but I was there when one was asking about rooms and prices when I checked in so it's a pity he had not said sorry we are full to the organisor…
Only booked the night before but we stayed here about 5years ago so didn’t do any of the usual research. We arrived mid afternoon , no problem with check in we had booked a double sea view room with breakfast for two , total cost £50 what I thought was a bit of a bargain turned out to be , you get what you pay for. On the good side... Location (right opposite beach) View from room (as above) Bed comfortable and sheets clean Bathroom modern , very snazzy looking shower and spotlessly clean (looks new) Breakfast lovely Staff pleasant and helpful Not so good..... Bedroom furniture in poor condition inc scratched dirty leather headboard Curtains very tatty with an odd thin bit of net curtain hung between them By far the worst was the carpet which was absolutely filthy dirty , It was so disgusting I couldn’t bring myself to put my bear feet on it, I honestly haven’t seen a carpet in that state anywhere. The snazzy looking shower we couldn’t get to work, so after trying for 15minutes decided just to leave it, we won’t be returning. Such a shame it would take minimal effort and cost to turn this hotel around.…
Just back from our short break to North Wales. Booked via Expedia based on ratings from TripAdvisor... what a lovely place. Clean, well equipped and functional room. Tea/coffee bits in the room, fairly comfortable beds, wall mounted tv included. Breakfast was included in the booking and was a multi choice full English with a wide vegetarian option as well. Overall, the service was good, the staff were friendly and helpful and if you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Llandudno to base your stay at then the Iris ticks all the boxes. 👍👍
