The hotel is set on the esplanade next to the pier. We enjoyed the location for it's views and walks on the pier and into the park on the Orme. The hotel itself is very well preserved and there are some splendid public rooms and good lifts. Our twin room was compact but had a lovely sea and Snowdonia view...

We had a fantastic weekend here, from Friday to Sunday. We saw Rod Stewart on Friday evening and Elton John on Saturday evening, they were absolutely brilliant! Along with buy one drink, get one free, from 6pm till 9pm, and drinks not being all that expensive anyway. Rooms were basic, but spotless, the food (we were bed, breakfast and evening...

We met here because we had had historically family stay here However we were met with filthy dirty and smelly toilets and albeit the staff were very helpful and friendly the hotels lack lustre facade and interior means we simply won't return Such a sad tired building Certainly not grand by any means It's time to renovate this once beautiful...

Went to this hotel for a family members birthday, and can honestly say ive never stayed anywhere so bad. The decor was old fashioned and had an odd smell all around the hotel. There wasnt much option for food. For the evening meal, we had one choice of a starter and there was a basic cavery for main, nothing special....

We checked in as usual with efficient service and James took our luggage up to our rooms. When we went up to our usual room we noticed immediately that the corridors had been recently decorated the 3 decorators have been busy making their way from top to bottom freshening up the hotel image and should look good when completed. And...

We stayed here for the weekend, it's a big beautiful hotel on the pier, we did'nt eat here so can't review the food. The room we stayed in was very spacious with a stunning sea view, the staff we encountered always had a smile on there face and seemed very helpful The only point that lets this hotel down is...

I've just spent a weekend at this hotel. It was clean, the food was excellent and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. If you want an inexpensive break, then this is the place. It's not posh, but it does offer an excellent place to stay. The food is 'buffet style'. I had reservations about this before I went,...

Yes, how many of us need SOMEWHERE to park our car. For such a large Hotel it seems ludicrous to have no car park. Staff typical these days, especially the young ones, just go thro the motions, not realy interested in the clients at all, we are just a burden on 'em. Must say that's most Hotels/Pubs nowadays .

Be aware of the dates of a lot of these reviews and photos- many are no longer valid. I stayed Monday to Friday in a triple room, with my sister, on a coach company trip. The reception area is large and bright, the staff friendly and helpful. We had a room at the back of the hotel which faces the...
