We went on a discount break with friends at the end of November. Hotel decorated for the forthcoming Turkey and Tinsel season. Large room with comfortable beds, but shower only. Neighbours had a premier room, worth the extra! Staff friendly and helpful, food indifferent but OK. Car parking a bit of a walk, and costs even overnight.

We knew this hotel was tired from previous reviews but we were attracted by a cheap National Express 4 night deal so we weren't expecting much. Our room 333 on the third floor was small but that was ok for what we paid. However when we opened the door to the bathroom we couldn't believe our eyes. Wallpaper was hanging...

A group booking at this hotel in Premier Rooms. Heaven help those in standard rooms if this was Premier! Maybe once upon a time it was Grand - but is no more. In need of complete refurbishment. Felt sorry for the friendly helpful staff doing their best. The rooms were so overheated that we were dehydrated - had to but...

Lovely old Lady of an hotel! We went for a New Year Break 2-5 Jan. Having been many times before we asked for Premier because we like the sea views and know what those rooms are like. As with all old buildings you have to keep up with refurbishing and as the Grand is a large hotel it takes a...

Stayed on a Groupon deal the weekend before Christmas. This is a beautiful old hotel in desperate need of total refurbishment. We had a standard room at the back of hotel so no view at all and as an upgrade wasn't offered at reception I didn't feel able to ask for one. I wish I had now as I have...

A one rating is too much for this hotel. Had a terrible stay, room stunk of rotting fish, bathroom was filthy. We moved rooms, second one was marginally better. Breakfast was awful, sausages were not cooked and the eggs were watery, hardly scrambled eggs, more like reconstituted from powder! We weren't asked our room number at breakfast so I am...

Came to Llandudno to see the Pantomime with my wife, 3 year old and friends. We booked two rooms at the great price of just £32 b&b and entertainment! Rooms were basic but clean and functional for a one night stay. We always upgrade to a larger room when we stay longer though. Sampled the entertainment in the evening and...
