We booked a late deal through a online company
Reasonable price for b&b we thought
Check was non existent no one around for over 30 mins which severely delayed our plans although there was a notice to say gone out back at 2 that didn’t happen and it was by then 2 .30 pm
Room was very very small and not particularly well furnished , stained carpets, curtains unhooked , wallpaper marked scratched and dirty although bed was comfortable shower with mildew around silicon and again very small disappointed !!!
Plus sides beautiful little gardens at the rear with table and chairs and nice seating area at front of hotel with rattan furniture
Lovely full English breakfast beautifully cooked with waiter service nice touch
All in all we had high hopes but we I’m afraid weren’t impressed would be nice to see a better room bigger and better decorated
Maybe that’s what you get when you don’t go directly to the hotel and book through an online company

Having read some of the reviews on this hotel I was unsure of what to find, however I seriously think some of the highly critical reviewers must have been staying somewhere else!
The hotel offers a budget price for ensuite rooms so we did not arrive expecting the Ritz. What we got was a well positioned moderately sized seaside hotel one block away from the sea front and near the shops, restaurants and bars.
Our welcome was pleasant, check in efficient and the single rooms actually had queen sized beds. My room was number 10 and although it was not huge it was comfy, the bed especially, the towels soft and fluffy and the ensuite shower and wc certainly not the smallest I’ve come across. The room was airy and cool despite us staying during a rare Welsh heatwave and mine looked out over the front of the hotel with the Great Orme above which was also uplit in the evening. My colleague had the room above me which was identical.
Parking is never easy in Llandudno but we both managed to park on both days within a few metres of the hotel and to be fair to the Seaclyffe it does point out the car parking situation on the website.
A good nights sleep on both nights with a hot shower in the morning before a very filling and tasty breakfast which for the price we paid was quite unexpected! I’ve stayed in many posh and expensive hotels which don’t do breakfasts this good.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay and the hotel is just a block away from some fairly good restaurants for an evening meal elsewhere. To be honest we were both not expecting our budget booking to deliver more than a basic budget experience but actually we both came away thinking that the Seaclyffe is excellent value for the price paid and far exceeded our expectations after reading some of the trip advisor reviews.

There’s a reason this is consistently the cheapest hotel in Llandudno... it feels like years of make do and mend are getting too much and (literally) papering over the cracks won’t do for much longer.

Mirror thick with dust, torn fabric headboard, dirty stained carpet, cheap white chipboard furniture that’s seen better days. Bed not made during my stay. Suspiciously damp looking stain on the ceiling progressed to water running down the wall in both the bedroom and bathroom, soaking the paper. Lacklustre shower that ran cold in the afternoon. Large cracks in the wall of the staircase leading down to breakfast. WiFi non existent outside the reception area.

Breakfast itself is good, the staff are friendly, and location is convenient for the town, tram, pier and prom. But you can spend just a little more and stay somewhere a whole lot nicer.

I travel too much on business and have started to hate the monotony and clinicism of Premier's, travel lodges, holiday inns etc. Seaclyffe was friendly, accommodating, the staff were helpful the room was clean, the shower was warm and the tv was a decent size. The bed was comfortable and I really enjoyed the breakfast. Nothing not to like really. I'd stay again.
