Recently spent a pleasant couple of days at the Clontarf with family. The welcome was warm, the room was comfortable and the location ideal. It's in a quiet area but is only a 15 minute walk from the centre of town. Electrically adjustable beds are...More
As always The Clontarf didn't disappoint. Mark & Joni are great hosts. The breakfasts are superb. Our room was lovely and comfortable with a great shower (Room 9). Thanks again to you both for making our stay so memorable.
Friendly staff and excellent breakfast menu.
Furnishings somewhat tired and in some areas dark and dreary.
Our bathroom facilities were quite modern and very clean.
Small car park only available on a first come first served basis.

Hello this is the hotel. One dog is permitted to stay in our first floor rooms, by prior arrangement. Dogs are not permitted to sleep on the beds, naturally, but are allowed in the room. They must be kept on the lead in the hotel public areas and grounds. They are not permitted in the dining room. We do not allow to be dogs to be left at any time unattended in the rooms, with the exception of when guests are taking breakfast, when we expect guests to use their discretion as to whether their own dogs will be happy to be left in the room quietly. We also have a resident cat which dogs must be respectful towards. I hope this clears up our rules. We are dog lovers and do make dogs very welcome however.
