Be warned, if you stay here do not expect any safety measures against Covid. A nice B&B situated in a great location but unfortunately not abiding by the Welsh Government Covid regulations and they believe Covid is a hoax. Such a shame!
Just stayed here for one night, we were warmly welcomed by the host Ian, with being the end of November we were lucky to get a car park space right outside the B&B, he explained everything to us and showed us to our room, the entire B&B was spotlessly clean and welcoming. Our room was a lovely size with a sea view, all the tea/coffee condiments you could want, plenty of towels, breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious and served with a welcoming smile from Ian, really could not recommend this B&B enough, it was a wonderful stay!
We stayed at Promenade in late September and had read positive reviews of the business. Upon arrival we were greeted by Iain the proprietor who checked us in and provided a lot of information about the Guest house and local area. We were booked in for seven nights and took breakfast each morning. Our room was a top floor room with sea view the room being comfortable and clean as was the entire establishment. Breakfast was a delight each morning expertly cooked by Martine Iain's wife with choices of traditional cooked breakfast, Cereals and even Smoked Salmon. Martine's scrambled egg is highly recommended and the portions were very adequate for us. The food was tasty hot and consistent throughout our stay a rarity these days. We highly recommend Promenade to those seeking a clean Professionally run and ideally placed guest house in Llandudno and will return I am sure as we had such a nice time. Above all Iain and Martine are great hosts and we found them genuine and throughly lovely people. Bob & Linda…
The hotel itself is lovely. Right on the sea front with beautiful views. It was my Mother's first time away since shielding in March and we were looking forward to a relaxing stay. We arrived wearing masks at per the guidelines for public places and were greeted by the owner who stated he didn't wear one which we thought was fair enough there are several reasons why people can't or don't wear one. However the next sentence floored me. The gentleman said he didn't believe in Corona virus it is all a hoax and if we were uncomfortable with this we should leave and find a bigger hotel. We hadn't said anything at all at this point merely walked in wearing our masks. This was after 4.30pm on a Friday.I simply said we wore ours and that was our choice. I checked in and while going through the breakfast procedure pre booking choices and a time slot for the dining room the owner then laughed and told us that if the virus was real the masks would offer no protection. At this point my Mother did say she wasn't interested in his opinion and I asked for it not to be discussed. It all felt very awkward and uncomfortable to be honest. We felt awkward for the rest of the stay and when after having been very cold on the first night I asked at breakfast for either some heating or blankets it felt extremely uncomfortable. Extra blankets were arranged but we were told the heating wouldn't go on as that was for the whole hotel. A couple on another table also said how cold it had been. The hotel was clean and well appointed but if you want somewhere complying with all the Covid laws re mask wearing by hospitality staff in public areas then it is not for you.…
