Good hotel with plenty of parking. It was quiet and I was able to rest well. As with all of these hotels, the breakfast is very good indeed. The room was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was well situated and provided good access to the town.

We stayed for 2 nights in this premier inn, twin room. Staff were welcoming and the room was spotless and a decent sleep as well. We didn't have breakfast as you need to book it the night before and that wasn't practical so can't review that, when restrictions are gone I would take advantage of breakfast. There is a pub next door which is called the Beagle and that's quite adequate for evening meals. It does seem a little out of the way but was handy for Ipswich and surrounding areas so not actually an issue at all. Plenty of car parking even when there were some highway contractors there one evening, no noise I must add. Wifi can be a bit fiddly and maybe some details about accessing it etc could be on the info sheet in the room rather than from the website. It's definitely recommended and up to the usual Premier Inn standard.

The hotel was easy to find and has a pub/restaurant right next door. The room/beds were comfortable - although the volume of the TV left something to be desired when connected to a DVD player via HDMI. Breakfast on two of the three days was fine, plentiful and tasty (for a Premier Inn); breakfast on the last day was not a good experience - we were late being seated (past our booked timeslot) and then ignored for almost half an hour - not even a drinks order . When our order was taken they'd run out of some items that were available when we were seated. The staff did not check on us at all after the food was served. As it was impossible to raise this with the restaurant staff it was raised at reception - they listened attentively and offered appropriate compensation.

The staff in all areas of the hotel were friendly, chatty and welcoming. Checking in was really easy. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious. I cannot fault it here. That’s why if I’m coming to Ipswich I always book this premier inn.

I stayed one night in between a walking day and a bird watching day in Suffolk. Everything was up to the usual high PI standard and with very good Covid secure measures that were explained very well in a leaflet in the bedroom.
