My friend and I stayed here 2 weeks ago. I loved the hotel and it's style. However, I am wheelchair bound so we booked a disabled room. The bedroom and bathroom where spacious however, the mirror in the bathroom was for standing people only, I could only see the top of my head. Also the bed was really high not...

Stayed here for a weekend break - had a lovely time, room felt very indulgent, views across the marina were great and everything was taken care of. Ate in the restaurant twice and the food was delicious, along with the wine - staff were very welcoming and considerate, accommodating requests to move table with no questions asked. The bath was...

We booked the Decadent Getaway package and it lived up to our expectations. It was less than 2 hours from home and we arrived on a Friday night for a room only stay on our first night. The room was one of the Marina view suites with a gorgeous balcony and a huge bathroom. Very comfortable and indulgent. We enjoyed...

Love love love this place. Planned a weekend away with my mum and was not left disappointed. The Sunday night offer allowed us to upgrade to the loft room and it worth every penny. Great, large room. Very comfortable and amazing detail throughout. Food was amazing. Well presented and delicious. Afternoon tea is a must. A lovely twist on the...

We decided on a last minute getaway on a Friday night and booked a room at this hotel. The room was spacious as was the en-suite, both were very clean and fitted to a high standard. Check-in was quick and easy and we arrived just after 2pm, we booked a table in the restaurant but were only able to book...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Malthouse Harbour Hotel. It's low-key, but with a youthful feel. The rooms are appointed nicely and, the location on Neptune Quay is ideal for a nice walk or gazing on the multitude of sailboats resting in the harbor. The hotel restaurant was pleasant. I enjoyed the breakfast menu, but found the dinner menu...

Watch out for the extra charges on your card when you leave, I'm sure that was scam. Room was comfortable, but for a penthouse suite to not have a fridge, thought that was a little strange. Bath very small but in a big room. Shower door opens inwards when already very small cubical so everything gets soaked, must say good...

Having booked a long way in advance after a visit for coffee, I thought this was the ideal place for my family get together. We booked for 12.30 lunchtime and were seated promptly. Unfortunately from there on it was all down hill. We did not place our orders until 1.00 pm and the first course arrived at 1.45 pm, a...

Our second 2 night visit to the Salthouse this year, a superb hotel in a very good location. Our booking arrangements, first night booked as a gift & second night booked by myself, were the same as last time but, unlike our previous visit, I’m pleased to say there was absolutely no problem ensuring we had the same room both...

I visited for lunch as part of a package with a nearby beauty salon, Flawless Image. The setting overlooking the water is lovely, a pleasant surprise from the drive into Ipswich. The staff were all welcoming, attentive and friendly, making sure everything was to our satisfaction. The dining area is trendy and fun without looking like they've tried too hard....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This artfully designed boutique Hotel and Restaurant in Suffolk reflects luxury and dazzles in the waterfront of Ipswich's vibrant Harbour quayside at night. The Salthouse Harbour Hotel goes beyond what you expect and exudes its 4 star status in every curious corner, eccentric sofa and unstuffy cushion. The sea-salted brickwork exterior has been restored & rejuvenated into a ship shape contemporary warehouse of rich modern interiors and rooms adorned with vintage furniture, sculptures and eclectic art. Within its comfy chic decor, although the mood is friendly and relaxed, the staff are professionally attentive to your every need. The cuisine is exciting and the popularity of the Salthouse Eaterie fills this delightful waterfront restaurant as soon as the tables are laid. ... more   less
