An independent hotel that was once a Best Western. It is a little tired and dated but clean with friendly staff. The restaurant serves a good well priced curry and the chef knows how to poach eggs and grill bacon in the morning for a decent breakfast. Would have scored higher but for the radiator creaking till late and then...

I stayed for two nights recently. Reception staff are friendly but the information I was given was sometimes confusing. My room smelled of damp and was very cold, the bathroom even more so! I didn't dine in the hotel in the evening as there never seemed to be anyone else in the restaurant. The one plus side was the breakfast...

The restaurant is an authentic Indian cuisine restaurant 😀I asked the waitress to recommend a lamb based dish to eat with Nan bread. When it arrived I thought OH NO this green concoction doesn't look tasty! HOW WRONG COULD I HAVE BEEN! It IS MOST CERTAINLY IN MY TOP TEN BEST CURRIES EVER 😍😍😍😍😛😛😛🍷🍷🍷🍷

Very disappointing - the hotel seems stuck in a time warp - I know that parts of it are actually a very old building with examples of wattle and daub walls. But the extension they have added for more rooms is extremely dated, the furniture and bedding are dated. The pillows are foam and therefore they make you hot and...

I must confess to having low expectations, as reviews to date have ben patchy. My experience was of a comfortable, clean room, with all amenities present and working. My evening meal was outstanding: alongside the expected staples are wonders of Indian cuisine. Contrary to other reviews I found the service attentive, informative and friendly.. I had a comfortable, if brief...

I spent 1 night staying in this hotel. Unfortunately was next to the junction box for the hotel which made a very loud buzzing noise all night. The hotel staff were unable to move me and so I was not able to sleep at all. The staff were very helpful but as the hotel was fully booked there was not...

I chose to stay here despite the reviews as I'm originally from Stevenage and I have good memories of drink in the Roebuck Inn when it was a pub. I do however have to agree with the many other reviews of the hotel that are not complimentary. Although our room was large and comfortable the hotel itself is rather dated...

This hotel is in dire need of updating and could be amazing with a little TLC. The rooms are tired and musty smelling. The bedroom was clean however was put off by the dodgy cheap loo seat and mouldy shower curtain in the bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful however the food left a little to be desired. On...

My friend actually had a heart attack at this hotel! Probably because, the food is off and mouldy, the smell is awful and the rooms are terrible! Bath is grey and full of hair, beds are like rocks and the TV is awful. Staff are lazy and do nothing at all for you. Also the location is terrible, right by...
