This hotel is somewhat run down - not surprising as it will close Oct 2018 and be pulled down to build what looks to be a stunning 6* hotel (which is much needed in Sandbanks). You stay here for the views - its right on the beach with a large sun terrace. Its also convenient for walking around Sandbanks. Good...

My friend and I go to the Sandbanks hotel twice a week for coffee and the price has been £ 2.95 for a very small cup, which was more expensive than anywhere else but we accepted it because it is our treat! But today we were charge £3.25 each! I queried it and were told that the price had gone...

I have read mixed reviews of this hotel, and although I would agree with some, like how it looks a bit rundown. The fact is the location, staff, Chinese restaurant, bar, leisure, location make this hotel for me brilliant. I loved our two night stay, we went for a harbour view with balcony and although it was January (bitter cold...

We have stayed in the Haven (part of the same group) a couple times before as a couple but decided to try the Sandbanks as we had the children with us. Hotel looked great upon first view although the fish tank could do with a good clean in Reception. Stunning location and the "Funster" staff were superb, lots for the...

We went to the restaurant for my sons birthday. We had been big fans of the owners previous enterprises in Bournemouth and although not regulars we did make sure we went every few months. It was gutting when the previous restaurant closed and we reverted to more mediocre restaurants. We were very happy to hear that the Ocean Palace had...

The Sandbanks Hotel has a fantastic location with stunning views over Poole Harbour to one side and across to the Isle of Wight on the other. The beach has wonderful sand. In my opinion it's one of the best locations on the English coast. It's easy to see why the properties here fetch millions. The staff at the hotel were...

The whole place is resting on its laurels. The hotel decor is tired, unclean and unkempt. A broken biscuit managed a full 12 hours on the landing in the stairwell before being cleaned up. The beds are uncomfortable and need replacing. Springy, uneven and lopsided. The balcony was rusting, the furniture soiled with seagull droppings. The roof tiles broken and...

Just got back from 4 days at the sandbanks hotel with our 3 children ages 3-10. We could not get them away from the kids club with the amazing team of Funsters. They all worked so hard to keep all the kids entertained and gave all the children their full attention and made everything fun and entertaining for them day...

Spent weekend here for a wedding in-house. The wedding went really well but the hotel experience was mixed. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, even including the one member who must have thought that there was a talent spotter in residence who was looking to re-make Fawlty Towers. No, he was not bad, simply deliciously OTT. Rooms are adequate,...

Having requested a sea view the first slight disappointment was to be placed in the centre of the restaurant but to be fair, you could still see the sea. The issue was that window tables were available and not utilised in the time we were there. More frustrating was when we were told the hotel policy was not to allow...
