Attended a family wedding and stayed overnight. The breakfast was very disappointing, dirty glasses and bowls, long wait for the breakfast to come out, food was cold, the beans had been on the plate so long they had left a tide mark. and the hash browns came out when I had finished eating the rest of the food. I had... More

I arrived in Poole and found this Hotel above a public house. The room (room3) was small but functional. Then I noticed the toilet seat cracked and had been for a while. There was the potential to cause some harm if I had sat on the seat. Then there was the hair (not mine) in the plug holes of both... More

We went away for a quiet weekend just for a break. We stayed at The Antelope for 2 nights. The staff I must say are excellent so friendly and helpful couldn't do enough for you. The hotel is tired it needs really picking up. The decor is worn and weary. Our room was overlooking the street which was great it... More

Really disappointed as it looked lovely online and reviews were generally good. Very tired, even dirty in places, and extremely noisy - would have been nice to have been warned there was a wedding on till late and no soundproofing when we booked a family room... could hear every beat of every song and we weren't in the worst room... Booked as dog friendly hotel close to Ferry terminal, really friendly old world Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with a large king size bed. Drinks in the bar very reasonably priced and staff were very friendly. Had nice meal in the bar that evening which had a great atmosphere with many locals also dining. Good sleep and lovely... More

stayed here for one night and though room was basic en suite everything worked, was clean and slept well, also breakfast choice was much better then anticipated. Sunday lunch/carvery was disappointing - veg was fresh and cooked perfectly al dente, however I prefer veg to be less crunchy, beef was also disappointing - bland and chewy. On the plus side... The location is brilliant, just around the corner from the quay so very convenient. However, the parking is a nightmare as there are guest spaces across the street but nowhere near enough, we were told to park in any space so we did any ended up with a note on our car the next day. The room itself was ok... More

We booked a table in the restaurant on Friday night, the restaurant had 2 large parties already booked, whilst the starter came relatively quickly, the mains were delayed due to the large parties, we were offered complimentary coffee or desert to apologies for the delay, this never turned up.
