Very disappointed in this visit we have been staying here on and off for 50years, the room was comfortable but the main restaurant was not open for evening meals. My tipple is Brandy they had none, the next night we met up with friends ordered gin and tonic .... no tonic really this was Easter weekend ........ was truly disappointing

Arriving as we did quite late in the evening, we approached from inland - not a very prepossessing introduction to Poole, as the poor old place has been knocked about a bit and a general lack of town planning is pretty evident. However, as we approached the end of the High Street where the Antelope is situated, things started to...

We were originally given room 15 and quickly asked to be moved as the bathroom was skank and stunk! All the taps were corroded and lime-scaled. They changed us to room 11 which was better but very dated, especially the bathroom. The breakfast was awful. My husband had poached eggs and were hard. When mentioning to the waitress she said...

120 person private function was made super easy with the fab crew at The Antelope. They put out a buffet for us, gave us dedicated staff on the private bar in the evening and took the time to talk to all of us (even when we weren't making sense!)

We stayed here for 2 nights over the Easter break. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfortable bed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The drinks are a reasonable price at the bar. Breakfast is cooked to order and very edible. Choices of juices, cereals, pastries, fruit salad. The only minor criticism is there isn't enough parking...

My partner and I stayed here for two nights over the Easter break and had a great time. We were slightly concerned by some of the previous reviews, but we know that some people on here like to complain about the most ridiculous of things, and we could not fault our stay at The Antelope. The only (minor) problem we...

This was a restaurant visit only. The local travel guide for March/April 2017 carried a full page advertisement for the new full service restaurant at the Antelope. We had friends visiting from out of town so decided to try it out. We booked on line but when arriving at the Hotel it was clear that the restaurant was not yet...

What a disappointment! Having visited many Old English Inn properties it's sad to say this is the poorest hotel in the group we have stayed in. The general appearance was scruffy and run down. when ordering a drink in the bar they had run out of Brandy and my wife was given a gin and tonic in a dirty Coke...

I like this place. Popped in for lunch with an old working buddy. It was very comfortable, a good place to meet up, have a chat and eat some very good food. Both my colleague and I chose fish: he devoured his in no time, and I certainly enjoyed mine. Well cooked, well presented. Staff were very helpful. Would certainly...

Its our second visit to the Antelope in a while, we enjoyed our stay last time, so we encouraged our friends to come with us. What a disappointment. On arrival we were told there was a party in the restaurant, so we had to change our plans regarding eating. The rooms I know are old but our bath tap was...
