A great stay overall, the staff on arrival were very helpful and friendly with a warm welcome. Food was at a very high standard and good quality. The room was spacious however a little noisy throughout the night when the water tanks emptied above our head in the loft space. A great place to stay for a little getaway, I... More

I'm disabled. Large room on ground floor with walk -in shower. Help with overnight case, though I could have done it on ground floor. Amazing staff - all reviews mention the staff, so how can I praise them enought to impress all? Really, these guys will do anything to help you. AND refused tips several times. Great Food, Excellent Service, Great Bar, Great Music, Room's Fantastic - But the Major Downside - The place was COLD, the Bar area in front of the fire was the only warm spot in the whole building. Also we had a pair of really awful guests - Noisy, Inconsiderate, Caused Fire Alarm - But credit to the duty person -... More

They all did everything possible to make our night special. The food was lovely, the lasagna was gorgeous and possibly the best I've tasted. Room was lovely and... More

The hotel was experiencing a few issues with heating and water which was being dealt with. Had a great nights sleep, beds are extremely comfy. Breakfast... More

We used this hotel as a pit-stop for our trip up to Edinburgh. I booked it due to the reviews I read on TA, and also the price. We were charged £60 for a small ensuite double, which I didn't think was particularly bad for money. We arrived to find a jazz music afternoon going on in a section of... More
