Gorgeous place and just steps away from a gorgeous village. Picturesque with an amazing garden . Definitely romantic . Bus station is around the corner if you wanna visit Darlington and do some shopping or eat in a nice restaurant.

Nothing to complain about - a comfortable little place to stay overnight. Perhaps better signs might help people find it. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean, little old fashioned with lots of diy silicon, but acceptable.
We booked an overnight stay and was greeted with a tray of tea and homemade shortbread biscuits.
Nothing was too much trouble and the room had everything you could possibly need - includung a hot water bottle.

A car is a must as we are in a rural area but if you are driving 1/2 an hour and you can be in the moors in one direction or the dales in the other, Durham is 1/2 an hour away, York 1 hour and the market towns of Northallerton, Yarm, Richmond, Bedale, Barnard Castle etc etc all 1/4 to 1/2 an hour drive. Raby Castle, Beamish Museum, Bowes Museum, captain cook museum, railway museum etc all within an easy drive
