Have booked without checking Tripadvisor, which was first mistake. The guy at reception and girl at breakfast were both very nice and cordial? My room, 59, smells has signs of water having come down the walls and is underneath what sounds like the boiler, so noisy. Asked if this was the standard room and was told it is but offered...

Just a one night stay while in Wakefield on business. The hotel is very similar to the Super 8's you get in the states - basic but clean and relatively well equipped. Our room had a flat screen tv, comfortable bed; tea/coffee; bathroom with over bath shower. The rooms are in one block and the restaurant in a separate building....

Yes this hotel is on an industrial estate yes it did remind us a bit like a Butlins holiday camp but for the price we paid for two nights we were not expecting the ritz, it is cheap and very cheerful would have got a better mark from me if I hadn't been shown to a room with a dirty...

I booked a room for a Saturday night through booking.com as myself and partner had arranged to visit the Christmas markets in Leeds the following day. All had been confirmed through booking.com stating arrival times and the room type and this had been confirmed 2 weeks prior to arrival. As we had travelled from Gloucester on the day we decided...

This place feels as if it was built in the 60s and has barely changed since. I could cope with that, but the room smelled of dogs, was very small, the bed was big but sagged in the middle. The bathroom was very dated, but clean, and the shower was good. If you want to plug a phone in, you'll...

Dirty, cold, run down. Arrived after dark which was probably a good thing. Reception smelt of stale fat and cooking. Outside lighting very poor, it was like going to 1960s maisonettes. Is photos of bathroom. Checked out in the morning and paid £20 more for the premium inn.

Liked the fact that we were located on the ground floor and we could park our car just in front of our door. That was a big + as we needed to carry our baby and her car seat all the time, as we were traveling to Leeds all the time. We could come and go any time and no...

Was a little apprehensive about staying at the Campanile after reading some of the reviews. Yes, it is in the middle of a business park but at night it is a quiet area. Admittedly, it looked awful on arrival, it doesn't look very welcoming and does look like the old Butlin chalets. All brown wood and net curtains. However, the...

Needed a bed on a budget and that's what you get. It's a motel rather than hotel with a 2-storey barrack style block of rooms a short walk away from the reception / cafe. Set in an industrial area filled with trucks doesn't set it off well. The welcome from reception was friendly and efficient enough. There was nothing actually...
