Barry and his wife were very welcoming. We stayed B&B. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast beautifully cooked. We would recommend staying here. There is plenty to see in the area: recommended walks include Hawkridge Reservoir and Cothelstone Hill. A great place to eat nearby is the Fitzhead Inn.

Had a very comfortable stay at Halse water cottage. Very welcoming and perfect break, if you are looking for quality and peace, here it is. The breakfasts are varied and very tasty, and nothing is to much trouble.

I booked this self catering accommodation for a three night stay after reviewing all the wonderful reviews on the site, I was not dissapointed. The accommodation was small but perfect for two people and very clean and comfortable. After I finished the business I had come down for in Taunton we were able to explore the Somerset area and would... More

This was the second time that my family and I have stayed and both times we had a perfect reception. Sleep was excellent with little to worry about and a Breaksfast way over the expectations. Will certainly stay again and can only recommend this location to anybody looking for the Best of British B&B.

We were made very welcome by our very friendly and helpful hosts. The room was lovely with a comfortable bed and there was a great choice of breakfasts all superbly cooked. Idyllic, quiet location amidst beautiful countryside and within easy reach of the coast.

We had the most wonderful weekend here at Halse Water Cottage. Both Barry and Pauline were fantastic hosts and I could not praise the accomadation and hospitality enough. The cottage is picture perfect and the warm welcome and tasty breakfast matched that. Pauline was even kind enough to lend a pashmina to go to the wedding. Very kind!

We stayed for 3 nights and loved it, very chocolate box type place and great location for exploring the area. Very friendly owners and the breakfast was excellent, each morning was better than the last, good choice. We even had homemade cake waiting for us when we got in one day. Would highly recommend.

We stayed one night to break our journey. Beautiful, quiet location with the pretty cottage set in its own grounds full of flowers. We chose the 'Chimney Room' but all the rooms were fresh, light and prettily decorated with thoughtful editions like old china, and the twin room was set out for children with wonderful groups of cuddly toys (Minnie... Only stayed for one night, but what a find. My wife & I were met by Barry on arrival. We were shown to the room which was actually a fully contained little flat / annexe. It was our anniversary & I had previously asked Barry for some places to eat out and we booked a restaurant a few miles away.Barry... More

My partner, some friends and I stayed here this weekend for 2 nights. The hosts were so welcoming and considerate of our needs. The house and little annex were cosy and very comfy. Enjoyed a relaxed morning with a fab breakfast and then an hour or so enjoying the sun watching the chickens go about their business. 100% recommend this... More
