What can I say. It was like home from home and David & Rosemary were like meeting old friends. The house feels lived in but very clean and tidy, the rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast is a treat with David always willing to have a chat and a joke. And then there is the garden which is stunning. OK...

Right from the start David (the owner) was helpful. The twin room we wanted was booked but we were offered a double room and an adjacent small single. Here's a list of the best things: (1) Warm, relaxed welcome with delicious tea and cake; (2) fabulous rooms: cosy single [no TV] with next-door private bathroom; and enormous double with TV...

We has a lovely stay here with some family. The setting is just superb with great hospitality and alpacas to keep you amused. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was exactly what you would want from a traditional English B & B. World recommend.

You don't get a TV in your room (for which I personally do not see any need) but you do get a warm welcome from the friendly owners, good clean accommodation, superb grounds to enjoy, a comfortable bed. At breakfast you get excellent quality and choice which is freshly prepared together with the opportunity to speak to other guests, as...

David and Rosemary work tirelessly and willingly to provide the maximum amount of hospitality and pleasure to their guests. Although our booking was made on line late the night before we arrived, a delightfully friendly email was received within the hour, welcoming us and giving useful information. On arrival afternoon tea was served alfresco in the superbly landscaped and manicured...

A little off the beaten track, perfect for those seeking rest and relaxation, it is worth the search - following David's excellent instructions. A warm welcome from Rosemary and David with tea and home made cake set the tone for a relaxing and peaceful few days. They are charming and helpful hosts and their home is clean and comfortable. In this gorgeous and tranquil setting we met our attentive and caring hosts, Rosemary & David. A traditional welcome was had and our large 'En-suite' room (Belvidere) was well equipped, beautifully decorated and overlooked the splendid lawns & gardens. Offers to walk the grounds and woods were appreciated. Breakfast was delicious with selection of fruits and choice of cooked meals...

Increadibly relaxed, beautiful peaceful house and gardens - only noise the occasional steam train passing nearby. Helpful and freindly emails before arriving and about how to get there, if we wanted a table booked for dinner nearby and what time we were arriving (to get the wine out and ready). Choice of cooked breakfast and large array of fresh fruit,...
