The staff were very friendly , checking in on arrival was very efficient , the hotel was spotless . We ate in the viceroy restaurant at the hotel, the food was excellent well cooked and well presented , again the staff were friendly efficient and made a fuss of our 3 year old granddaughter . We wanted to stay overnight in Skegness and wanted somewhere with good parking, good room, good breakfast and comfortable. Think we hit the jackpot, this hotel ticked all the boxes. From a warm welcome in reception, a lovely clean warm room,a good bar area and a couple of restaurants, which we ended up eating in after a walk around the...

The staff in general were very helpful and friendly. The evening a la carte meal was very good - generous portions, well cooked, good choice and well presented. Our waitress was excellent. Breakfast...

Just returned from a 1 night stay and can't wait to go back. Food was excellent and the staff are amongst the best I have come across. Hotel could do with a bit of a makeover in some areas but that does not take anything away of the really good short stay we had. We're already looking at going back...

We wouldn't normally visit the east coast in November and Skegness certainly lived up to it's "bracing" tag. With very clear skies and high winds, it certainly cleared the cobwebs away. Likewise it was probably the wrong time of the year to visit the Royal Hotel to see it at it's best. With the summer season well and truly over...

Just returned from a tinsel and turkey break at the Royal. Warm comfortable room. Really friendly staff. Good food and great value. Christmas dinner was ace and Santa visited to give everyone a small present. Will be back again next year.
