What a fantastic place this really is!! To give my review a little context I would like to note that for the last 7 years I have worked away from home and all over the UK most weeks. During this time I have had the pleasure of staying in some pretty good venues; from the Captains Club in Christchurch to...

We stayed at Warwick Hall on a very cold Saturday for the races in Carlisle .....we loved everything about ,it the grounds, the views the river, the sheep!! After freezing to death at the race course (Val the owner did offer to lend me her New York Coat) we came back to a toasty room before a stunning Dinner of...

Thank you for this lovely review. I do sound like everyone's Granny at times, but I was generally worried that you'd be cold - I know that race course! Fabulous views but very exposed! The good news is you won! Came home early! Hot bath - stiff drink - good supper - and all's right with the world. Did we...

When you approach the hotel it is very impressive and you receive a warm welcome from the host. The hotel is like someones home and has a very comfortable feel about it. The dinner service is somewhat old fashioned but nice all the same and you are well looked after in all respects. The only disappointment was the rather tepid...

Attended to celebrate a belated birthday. Have never been before we arrived not knowing what to expect. The driveway and grounds are amazing and set the scene to what was an amazing evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful with a wide variety of drinks available. We then went through to the restaurant for dinner where we were met...

I have nothing but praise for this hotel. From the minute we arrived we were treated with courtesy, respect and professionalism. More importantly we were welcomed into someones home......we didnt feel out of place or awkward. It was as if we were regular guests being welcomed back. The room - we stayed in the river suite. This was so so...

I booked this hotel mostly on the fact that dogs were allowed to stay, although in the end I didn't take them due to change of circumstances. When I arrived I was blown away by my room which was huge and beautifully finished. It was clean with lovely homely touches without it feeling quaint. The views were stunning and the...

What a gem. I heartily recommend Warwick Hall. it's a real treat to glimpse inside such a lovely home. The style is contemporary and classical, the drawing room a relaxing place to unwind at the end of the day and enjoy a pre dinner drink. Dinner was most enjoyable and breakfast similarly wholesome and hearty and set in a spacious...

Thank you so much for writing such a nice review. Now that spring is springing - daffodils all down the river looking amazing - I hope you'll come again to see the flowers. We'll be continuing to work on our food/dining room/wine list/service - I think it should be a significant highlight for visitors when they come here. Do come...

We found this to be such a relaxing location with great views. The owners were very friendly and made you very much at home. The room was spacious and the bathroom large - plenty of room for 2 in the bath and shower. Food was excellent, very simple but fresh, cooked very well and there was plenty to eat -...

Warwick Hall Estate offers luxurious hotel accommodation two miles from Carlisle and the M6 at Exit 43 junction with the A69. Perfect for a stopover on the road north (dogs welcome!) or stay a while if you have time to explore Hadrian's Wall and the beautiful Border countryside. Private house parties are our specialty - it's what the house was built for. Take over the entire house with its nine en suite bedrooms for exclusive use. Delicious food, excellent wine, afternoon tea in front of roaring log fires, and everything done just as it should be. You'll find long beautiful walks on the estate right out the front door.
