Great service, room was clean and the food was good( veggie food) as a single woman traveller it was a friendly experience and of course a really good price. The negative reviews had needlessly concerned me this has been an entirely positive visit.

Excellent stay for family of 5. Perfect stop on way up to Scotland. 20 minutes walk from town centre. 3 teenagers loved the cooked breakfast. Boys had a suite where they put an extra bed. Great value. Rooms clean. Good bathrooms. Double bed a little soft, receptionist said they are beginning to replace the matresses. Staff super helpful. Locked garage to put our bikes in at night.

Plenty of room for parking and a very pleasant welcome when booking in. Our room was spotlessly clean with nice fluffy towels, a good fan was also provided that came in very useful given the 30c heatwave! Only downside was that our room only had a double bed but it was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. All in all, a very nice and comfortable stay.

Room Tip: A good 10/15 walk to the town, great when it is nice a sunny, possibly not so great in the rain 🤔

Easy parking and walking into Carliske across old bridge and lovely gardens. The food is very good but it's best to book. The staff are kind and helpful, the italianate rose garden looks good at breakfast.

Only stayed for one night and found the hotel to be excellent value for money. The room was clean and well equipped for my needs and check in very easy. Although I didn’t eat there I did observe some of the meals that other guests were having and they looked to be very good indeed. The staff were all very pleasant and if I had one slight gripe it was that they could have been a little quicker to realise when guests needed service. The car park was spacious with clearly marked bays. Overall, however, a very satisfactory stay.
