The rooms are what you can expect, service was ok but the breakfast was dire - avoid and eat out if you are able. We stayed for two nights and had breakfast on the last day - it was overcoooked bacon, a tasteless sausage - etc.. as the hotel is in the middle of the city it's worth skipping and finding a local cafe

At first glance the hotel looked decent enough but at £120 per night I was annoyed no breakfast was included. Situated in the city centre the hotel is close to all amenities. The rooms were basic but clean and tidy, only one set of towels was provided which was a bit disappointing given how warm the weather was. The staff were mostly courteous with one exception, "Andrew" the night manager who seemed to think his guests were an annoyance, his whole demeanour was mainly obnoxious and was as much unhelpful as he was rude. A problem with the lock on my door meant I had to have the key reset 4times,this did not impress Andrew who seemed to deem the issue my fault and not the fault of the substandard locking system. I liked Carlisle but next time I'll be staying somewhere else.

Have stayed a long weekend and have to say we both really enjoyed it, Staff are very friendly and available should you need anything. Rooms clean and have everything you need Tv, Hair Dryer, Tea and coffee. We opted for breakfast which again was good you do have to order in advance but that was fine I asked to change mine and this was accommodated without any issues. The hotel is in the city centre we didn’t notice the outside noise and can say we will definitely be back again.

pretty poor really, disappointed. sparse minimum rooms, breakfast adequate, although it was cooked off site and brought in, not ideal, not much in way of choice. covid restrictions were all adhered to which was excellent. A party was going on in a room on 1 night til the very early hours i suppose its part of being a city centre hotel.

Thank you for your review. The breakfast service was limited due to buffet restriction and is freshly cooked on site, please note due to the restrictions now lifted we are serving our full buffet breakfast.

Booked the hotel room last minute to be in England for the Euro Finals. Space in the lounge was limited, but space was limited everywhere. Got our seats. Got to know the staff, ordered, beer, ordered pizza all grand. Nasty Racist in, and he was quickly evicted . Staff very quick to respond to disturbance. The fact that we had Italians in watching the match and everyone enjoyed it (until the last five minutes) says a lot for the staff. Breakfast in a box this morning - collected at front. Door broke and we couldn't get back in, but staff immediately responded to our shouts for help. Great Place to stay if you want to experience city centre life in Carlisle - perfect for ALL the pubs.
