My friend and I stopped by Ballater for a few days, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The accommodations were comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. The host was very personable and friendly. I recommend Netherley House for a stay in Ballater.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in September. Angela was wonderful. The town is wonderful with the Inn right there in downtown. Scenery is spectacular. Breakfast was very good. Traveling as two couples, we were so appreciative of the sitting area for evening cards and wine sipping. Highly recommend. Oh and I might mention that the Queen stopped by next door,...

The Netherley is ideally situated in Ballater which is ideally suited for visiting Balmoral. Angela is very welcoming and the room and bathroom were spacious and the wifi worked well. We had some issues with the heating which seemed to be centrally controlled. The Breakfast choice was limited. The interior décor is very basic and lacks many personal touches which...

We finally arrived at our final destination - Ballater - after doing 256 miles in the saddle from Edinburgh! We followed the Deeside Way (Route 195) from Aberdeen - 44.5 miles some of which was tough going up and over the forest at Banchory. So we arrived late again looking really done in. We were greeted at the door by...

Angela has just started managing this long standing B&B set in the gorgeous little town of Ballater. It is a large residence complete with separate guest lounge. It used to close in October but luckily under new management it was still open. My room was cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was also very good. A lovely stay.

Stayed 3 years ago (it was good then), decided to return again only to find new management but we were not disappointed in any way. The Netherley is a homely B&B of a type we like, good service and a great breakfast. Angela the one mand band manageress is a hard working person always looking to maximise the quality of...

This is a small guest house managed by a hard working staff. The establishment is ideally situated just a short walk from the location of the Games and the town centre of Ballater. My friend and I stayed on a bed and breakfast basis in clean and secure rooms, and in addition to the stay enjoyed cooked Scottish breakfasts, with...

A real home from home. The proprietor, Gordon, was an excellent host when myself and nine friends stayed for the weekend. Nothing was too much trouble. At breakfast time there was so much to choose from, you were spoilt for choice. There was certainly no need to go away hungry. The accommodation was up-to-date, clean and comfortable with spacious rooms....
