Have stayed here several times as a stunning setting especially in the summer. We stayed on a one night package which included fizz in the room, breakfast and a 3 course meal for two in Auberge the fine dining restaurant on site - all for £315. The new owners are renovating the main Brocket Hall and hopefully they'll do the... More

Stayed for one night and the Melbourne was excellent. Checking in was very easy and within minutes we were in the room. The staff were exceptional and very helpful. The room was excellent with views across the golf course. The grounds of Brocket Hall are beautiful and love to stay again. Unfortunately the only small issue was breakfast. Very bad... More

Glorious surroundings-you won't find better. Wonderful stately home, great grounds and peace and quiet. The Hall was magnificent and a credit to the administrators currently running the place as service and food were exemplary. Great atmosphere. The Lodge is picturesque and quirky but in need of some TLC to attract the non-golfers. Not sure it is really set up for... More

Excellent reception, very pleasantly welcomed and all aspects explained. Room very clean and comfortable. Usually tea & coffee making facilities and quality complimentary shampoo etc. The only downside was the walk down to and back up from the Golf Clubhouse where the breakfast was served. If it had been raining or worse then we would have got very wet. Breakfast... More

We stayed at Melbourne Lodge and stayed at the Auberge du Lac. The booking process was a joy with Alex, the events manager, patiently answering all my questions. She was even there to welcome us on the day, having arranged a facial for my wife in advance. The lodge is an old property and the room was full of character.... More

Stayed in the lodge and played both courses. Really enjoyed our stay, friendly and helpful staff. Brilliant breakfast and two great rounds of golf. Both courses are quite scenic with some very good holes and to top it all the weather was superb.

Vey disappointed with the Melbourne course due to the amount of ramblers walking in the fairway, and how little respect they had for golf. The Melbourne course was scruffy and not well looked after. The four holes over the water were the best holes, but would not recommend the course because of the standard, and purely because of the amount... More

Being a member of Brocket Hall, I may have a slightly different view to everyone else knowing everything on the estate. Stayed on a Friday night and ate in the Auberge. Room great size with bathroom nearly doubling size of total space. Loved the 'old fashioned' layout...very classic. A great alternative to staying in a top hotel in London.

Booking was easy and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. A group of us went over the August bank holiday and found both courses, all staff, food and accommodation very very good. Would certainly go back for another stay. Great for golfers.

We booked as a Golf Society over two days in July 2014, with a one night stay in the Melbourne Lodge. As a golf venue this was superb. It definitely has a wow factor. The practice facilites are the best I have seen and the quality of both golf courses was excellent. Both rounds were a little slow (approx 5... More
