My first visit to the beautiful town of Sidmouth in Devon could not have been more perfect than choosing to stay at the Hunters Moon Hotel. A beautiful Georgian period building set within stunning gardens. Exceptionally clean rooms along with new modern bathrooms. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. There is a huge breakfast selection including a choice... More

Firstly I must say that I don't think this hotel would be to everyone's taste. That is the only negative point that I could make. From telephone reservation through to departure my whole experience was a pleasure. I had room 18 which has a well designed wet room with roll-in shower area - spacious, safe and easy to use. The... Took our 87 year old mum away for a few nights to a favourite destination of hers and booked B and B for 3 nights. Wonderful gardens and setting and Georgian house, although a number of extensions at the back! On entering reminded us of an upmarket care home with very traditional furnishings and faculties for disability! Amazingly friendly service... More

We've lost count of the number of times we've visited this hotel - but it just gets better and better. The staff are as friendly as ever, the location and building are idyllic, the food is faultless. The breakfast is even better than on previous visits.

Guests Hunters Moon Georgian Country Hotel all appear to be regulars which says a lot about this traditional hotel set in its own grounds on the edge of a local park. It is certainly not one of those plastic places seen on the internet. Family run this hotel offers a unique charm with a quite and relaxed atmosphere ideal for... More

After one night staying at Hunters Moon Hotel we wanted to stay the week! Unfortunately we couldn't so will return soon. Such a friendly, comfortable place to stay, where you were made so welcome from the moment you walked in the door. The bed and room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding.

When we arrived we were not sure that this place was for us as it appeared a bit dated and out of touch. By the end of the week, however, we were most satisfied. We stopped on a B&B basis walking into town each evening where you will find a wide selection of places to eat. The breakfast at this... More

one night stay in September. We really enjoyed an awful lot about this hotel, not least of which was the lovely warm welcome and general attention from the very good staff. The location is great and affords a great walk into town. The breakfast was as good as it gets with really good ingredients cooked perfectly. The bar is good... More

Booked two nights here at very short notice and got a single room at a very reasonable rate. The building is old but the interior is clean and well-decorated. From my room there was a nice view overlooking the large garden adjoining the public park. The service from the waiters/waitresses was very friendly and efficient. I could not fault the... More

Service was excellent. Food very good and a varied menu. Room was spacious and clean. Only slight observation was that it seemed like entering an old people's home on arrival. Lots of wheelchairs and zimmer frames in evidence. However there were a good mix of guests from teenagers to old ones like us! Certainly the best place we have stayed... More
