I have just stayed here this September , although there is no ensuite and the bathroom is shared I found this B&B very delightful with a wonderful breakfast and possibly the best coffee that I have ever had . The only downful that I can say is that the WiFi is practically none assistant , which was a shame. Kirsten...

Thank you very much for your kind words. There is one room with shower and toilet en suite, but a single room and a double/small family room share the bathroom and extra toilet across the landing. I am very sorry for the poor wifi access but it is the best I can do until BT decides to lay on a...

Peace at last! After a hectic trip down the M6 and M5 and the nightmare of first finding and then parking at the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital it was a real relief to arrive at this haven of peace. The room was not lavish but was very clean with a comfortable bed. I don't understand the comment of an...

Rural, quiet location but with easy access to pub and towns. An attractive area for exploring with interesting coastal resorts close to hand. Clean rooms, friendly and caring service with good breakfast. Pretty garden to sit out in. Thank you.

Best to deal with the negatives up front: there are no ensuites here - the bathroom facilities are shared - and this B&B is half a mile along one of the narrowest lanes in Devon. If you can get past these issues you'll find Higher Coombe Farm to be delightful. Although just a couple of miles from Sidmouth, this B&B...

My son and I stayed here three nights. I can't praise it and the Farmers highly enough. It is a little bit of Eden for this American traveler--beautiful pastures, quiet, with views of birds, rabbits, and of course sheep, including very young lambs. The rooms were wonderfully furnished and tea supplies restocked daily. There is also a sitting room with...

This is a B&B we will return to again. The welcome was superb, the room well appointed and supplied with everything we needed and more. The location is superb; up a narrow lane to a quiet peaceful spot, but not far from the sea. Finally the breakfasts were excellent. Well cooked, fresh produce that delivered satisfaction in every mouthful.

We found a warm welcome awaiting us for our two night stay and it was so peaceful. We chose this B & B as it was near to Sidmouth where we were visiting friends and family. I had phoned in advance to advise the farmer's wife that I was coeliac and asked whether that would prove difficult for breakfast. I...

We travelled to Devon for a family wedding and decided to stay here at this working sheep farm as it was very close to the church. Higher Coombe is off the beaten track (hence lovely and quiet) but a local pub a short walk away offers great food. A warm welcome and a very comfortable, clean room. Breakfast was excellent....

We stayed 2 nights here and loved it. Hosts very friendly and welcoming. Our double room clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was great. We loved the quietness of the countryside and watching the dogs and sheep in the fields from our window. I found a peaceful spot in the garden to read my book. We'll certainly be...

I stayed at Higher Coombe Farm during the last week in August 2010 and can certainly say it was a very pleasant experience. I had driven down to the farm from Berkshire in atrocious conditions and was met by Kerstin Farmer who made me feel very welcome and who served up hot coffee and biscuits which was a very nice...
