We went for a one night break including afternoon tea, dinner, spa and breakfast. The hotel was slightly like stepping back in time to the 80's, but in a really good way. The food was slightly old fashioned but delicious. Our room overlooked the sea and was lovely a clean. Due to age of the building the floor was a...

We arrived early so we could spend the morning going around town and afternoon in pool. We were made to feel unwelcome on arrival even though we asked a young man who was parking cars if we could park. Reception was annoyed by this. Then to get told the pool is not part of the hotel! Pool is next door...

Every year the accommodation, meals and service are excellent. Very comfortable and friendly. Afternoon tea is a special treat. Excellent position in the town. Excellent position for exploring the area (Exeter to Honiton). A joy year after year.

We were here last Saturday night and found the whole place truly delightful. It may be a little old fashioned but that only added to the charm. We shall certainly return in the near future. Sidmouth is a beautiful small town.

We arrived yesterday and were met by lovely friendly staff. We were shown to our room which has a fantastic sea view. A large, comfortable, clean room. We had coffee & cake mid afternoon which was very tasty. Then dinner last night was sublime, five amazing courses including coffee & chocolates. My lamb was so tender. This morning breakfast was...

Arriving in Sidmouth mid-afternoon on the hottest day of the year so far, and finding that the hotel has only 15 car parking slots, in a congested yard at the back, and at the same time as a coach party was not a great place to start. But having squeezed the car in, reception was completed efficiently and we were...

We stayed for three nights in mid March. Once again we enjoyed the hospitality and friendliness of this superbly located hotel. The food is excellent, served with good humour by efficient waiting staff. There is a very good, well priced wine list. Sidmouth has much to offer, interesting independent shops, a base for some good walks and within easy reach...

Hotel has nice decorations, looks like museum inside. Very friendly Staff. Food wasn't nice though, not worth to eat in the hotel. Also for those who likes good sleep - too soft beds, literally diving into mattress.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay in this lovely seafront hotel. First impressions were great - welcomed at reception with the offer of afternoon tea, even though it had officially finished half an hour earlier which we had in one of the 3 very tastefully decorated sitting rooms. Our 1st floor room was lovely; very large, with beautiful décor and furniture...

Have just spent 6 nights in this excellent hotel over looking the sea, we had a lovely sea view room which was very clean and comfortable, the staff were very helpful and attentive at all times and the food was superb and varied. Will definitely return.
