Had another enjoyable break here last weekend. This is now the 5th time I have stayed here. Shearings are undertaking a gradual rolling refurbishment programme, and on each time I've been more has been done - new windows, lift, room refurbishments etc. and more was in the process of being done this time. My own refurbished 2nd floor room had...

Thankyou for taking the time to write and I’m very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We are very lucky to have such lovely views here, we are the only hotel in Scarborough that can see both bays. We have, as you mentioned, found ourselves at that point in the year when we get spruced up and the next...

Just spent 5 days in this hotel. On arrival found room had windows open and no heating in November! Heating did not work for 24 hours and had to ask three times for it to be resolved and blankets provided. Other public rooms also very cold. Room was very tatty with holes in the curtains and scuffy furniture. The large...

Thank you for taking the time to write your review, I’m very sorry your stay with us wasn’t as you had hoped. I’m sorry you felt it was too cold for you, we do have extra heaters we can put in the rooms and can, as you rightly said, provide extra blankets for those guests who feel the North Yorkshire...

Visited the Norbreck for 3 nights. Very reasonable charges and 4 free drinks each on the Saturday night. Entertainment every night - bingo, quiz and entertainer. The food was very good and varied. The situation of the Norbreck would mean it would be difficult for anyone with mobility problems. It is high up on the cliff near the Castle at...

Thank you so much for your lovely comments and I’m so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We are incredibly lucky to have such wonderful views here but this is due to our location on the hill. We have set rates for our guests with a local taxi company and a lot of guests do take advantage of this....

The hotel is situated at the top of a hill with most rooms over looking or being able to see some sea. The room was dusty. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Just returned from an enjoyable shearings break, good food, good trips and most of the staff helpful and friendly, special mention to Noah our waiter, who worked so hard and always friendly. Great view from the hotel of the bay and castle. Hotel could do with updating in certain areas.

Hotel in a lovely position overlooking the beach, decor looks a bit tatty in places, but rooms were clean and warm. Having been to a good few Shearings Hotels I have usually found the food and service to be of a good standard for what you pay. This was not the case here. Service was very slow, with long waits...

Thank you so much for your lovely comments and I’m very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us.
