I stayed here for one night whilst on business in a single room. I paid £25 so wasn't expecting much. Firstly I need to say the staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. The decor is very dated but some refurbishment was taking place. I had a lovely view from my room. The thing that let it down for me... More

Booked in for a 4 night stay what a let down, ignore what they say on the website regarding polite, professional, helpful etc. Upon arrival at 6.30 pm it was clear to see that the hotel is getting a facelift nothing wrong with that, and their were signs in reception to say the reception area was being redecorated, I approached... Basic, but clean and warm, view is lovely, Breakfast was ok, I was lucky to get a cheap deal for the two days, and it was OK. OK is about the best I could give it as a hotel, In its day I am sure it was lovely, but scarborough isn't what it used to be.

Two comfy chairs to sit in and enjoy the view. Spacious room The reception staff were very helpful The hotel is close to the... More

Fab weekend away with friends. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Bar and reception areas warm and comfy. Bar prices good. A lovely traditional hotel, a bit worn around the edges but great nonetheless. Superb value for money. Will definitely stay again!

Excellent welcome and lovelt room. Wheelchair acessible and dogs welcome.£5 charge for pet dog, my assistance dog was free. The food was delicious. Will definately return. We parked the car and walked everywhere. The view from our room, 119, was fabulous, over looking sea and town and a small balcony. The décor is a bit dated but very charming.

From the point of booking, the staff were most helpful and friendly. My wife uses a wheelchair and we have dogs with us, and many other local hotels have access difficulties, or won't accommodate pets. The public areas were spacious, and the lift is a reasonable size. Our room had a geat view overlooking the bay; it was spacious, clean,... More

We stayed here out of season in late October. The horse is situated on the cliffs, south of the town, but a short walk soon brings you to the sea front or the town centre so it is handily placed. However, the walk is not for those with mobility problems as the return journey involves quite a climb. The hotel... More
