We stayed at this lovely hotel for two nights for a short mini-moon after our wedding. I booked room 1 and it was fantastic. Large comfy bed and a very nice ensuite with shower. There is also a big bath in the bedroom which does take some getting used to but the wife loved it. The hotel staff were all...

After motorcycling for 250+ miles it was great to arrive at Wrea Head Hall, we were made to feel very welcome, the food and accomodation were both superb. We sat outside looking over the beautiful gardens watching a cricket match unfold in the distance.

We have stayed here on a number of occasions over the years, our recent stay was the best by far! Our room was excellent and beautifully decorated to a high standard. The food was delicious and well presented. We were made to feel welcome and relaxed by all the staff, particularly Anne who was willing, helpful and professional. I would...

Turn off from a road in what seems to be a rather non-descript suburb of Scalby and you’ll be delighted to discover this ‘hidden’ country-setting hotel, a gem full of Victorian charm and character. My second floor [bit of a climb!] west-wing room (no.19) was one of those recently refurbished to a high, modern (and bright) standard of decor. Spotlessly...

Wrae Head House stands in beautiful rural surroundings where you can 'get away from it all' but also be near enough to reach seaside towns and lovely North YHork countryside. Change of ownership is bringing about refurbishment of the highest quality (without troubling guests). A grand stately building but with rooms giving first class modern facilities. The new Proprietor and...

Me and my wife needed a hotel to stay before we checked into our cottage the day after. We chose this hotel due to its grounds and didn't expect a lot due to it's rating. But how wrong we were. The grounds are stunning. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The food was beautiful. The rooms were very comfortable...

This is a lovely country house hotel in an ideal and peaceful location about ten minute's drive from Scarborough, surrounded by countryside. The public areas downstairs are beautifully furnished with a good mix of the traditional and modern, our room was clean and well equipped, good selection of teas and coffees and very good biscuits! The staff are without exception...

It is disappointing to see poor reviews for this hotel when so much hard work is being undertaken by the new owners and their super staff! Everyone makes it clear this is an on going project so some areas have not all been refurbished - but if you visit the completed rooms you can see what effort is being put...
