We had a wedding party at the wrea head, and they certainly looked after us! On arrival we were offered an extra room so that we could have more space. We declined this as we wished to stay together, but the offer was lovely! We then asked if it would be possible to have a late breakfast as we had...

What a discovery! Every member of staff was superb. Nothing too much trouble; what impressed me was just how much they all wanted to support the new owners who are putting their heart and soul into restoring this beautiful building to its original glory. All were committed to providing a wonderful and memorable stay. We stayed in one of the...

thank you Trip Advisor for suggesting this hotel- we followed the link and were packing within the hour! The hotel is down a delightful rhodedendron lined drive and is in an uneviable position with lovely views across the gardens. we had room 18 which is very pretty with traditional and modern combined to make a comfortable and tasteful room. When I booked I told Anne that this had to be a special week for us. From our time of arrival to leaving that's what it was. We received a warm welcome and were shown to Room 15. The room is lovely and light with a fabulous view down the lawn to the cricket pitch in the distance. The bathroom...

The owner called the hotel a work in progress and that's what it is - we found it excellent in parts but needing improvement in others. The first problem is finding the hotel - there is an attractive sign on the wall at the drive entrance, but it is low down and hardly visible from one direction and hidden from...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, had dinner, B&B. We stayed in room 14 which had been refurbished, it was lovely, a huge bed and the view was glorious. This hotel is all about quality. Quality customer service, accommodation and food. Definitely worth staying, we will coming back to this one on our next visit to Scarborough.

We had a wonderful stay here. A real Miss Marple feel to the place. Small and intimate. Exquisite service. Superb food. A fantastic building, has been a privat mansion earlier. Converted to a hotel approx 30 years ago. New management in 2012. Under refurbishment (almost not noticible to guests) and we will definitly be back to see the result when...

We stayed here quite a few years ago when the hotel was under previous management and the experience was less than satisfactory. Following receipt of an offer and a little bit of googling it appeared that the hotel had gone into administration and was now under new ownership. Looking at trip advisor reviews the reviews were very positive so we...

Scarborough is a very special place to my wife and I, this hotel takes it to a different level than we have ever seen in the town. Top class accomodation, fine food and wines, a feeling of a very special place. In a way want to keep it to ourselves!

We stayed at this lovely hotel for two nights for a short mini-moon after our wedding. I booked room 1 and it was fantastic. Large comfy bed and a very nice ensuite with shower. There is also a big bath in the bedroom which does take some getting used to but the wife loved it. The hotel staff were all...
