Where to start! On arrival the front of the hotel looks very nice and clean. The downstairs seating area is lovely and nicely decorated and then you go upstairs to the rooms you sleep in and they are horrible! The decor of the rooms is very poor and not very well maintained! The bed was clean and the bathroom was...

Fantastic little b&b in Scarborough. The breakfast was good as I requested something different from the grill and he deliver. I sadly didn't get the polite names of the people who run this place. But all in all it made my trip better and will be returning with guests in may. A job well done.

First of all let's get the good points out of the way the best bit is the breakfast the one sausage, one rash of bacon etc which was really nice. Now where to start with bad points it is meant to be four star, this b&b has not seen four star for at least 10 years. The first room we...

We stayed one night (4th February) and were in Room 4 on the first floor (great view of the bay). The room was clean and sufficient for our needs! Lovely comfortable bed and warm duvet. The bedding was lovely and clean and the pillows very soft. The only downside to the room was the constant hum from whatever was in...

We visited the Riviera for one night and it was not a disappointment. The room was perhaps a little small but the hotel is 200 years old and in a great location we just couldn't fault it. Everywhere was clean and the bed was really comfortable and had great bedlinen and pillows. The shower room was clean and the breakfast...

Ten friends descended on Scarborough for our annual ramble. The hotel is bed and breakfast and was just what we required due to our all day expedition followed by a few social drinks and food later the same day. We had opted for the cheaper rooms which were upon the top 4th floor however if you don't do stairs then...

My husband booked this for my birthday. The room was tiny and not very clean. They had put strong air fresheners in the room which affected my breathing. The window wouldn't open so we had to phone for help. The owner came up and was not pleased and quite stand offish. Breakfast was ok but felt uncomfortable as they were...

I was very disappointed with this place - the room was very small and looked like it hadn't been cleaned. I struggle to see how this place can call itself a four star establishment - it needs some renovation and TLC. Staff were OK and the breakfast was nice. I would not come here again.
