Nice little basic hotel changed our horrible tiny pokey single back rooms and upgraded to large front room that was lighter brighter clean tidy more spacious. With better views at front. Traveled. Here on cheap n cheerful 3day coach trip with half full coach of mostly old folk and some. Very nice people from Lancashire and Yorkshire and Carnforth etc....

In many ways the Red Lea is a classical seaside hotel but is also very well managed. On arrival they give you a parking permit to let you park your car on the street, and there were lots of spaces close by when we were there, so that was easy. The room worked really well, it was light and airy...

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for a night as part of a family weekend. The hotel is in a good location, in the quieter north bay of Scarborough. Street parking is available outside the hotel. The steep incline from the beach to the hotel could be difficult for older guests to walk. However, a tram to the...

Upgraded on arrival to sea view room which was large, well furnished, well decorated and spotlessly clean. Did have rather squeaky floorboards (found in most old hotels). Really friendly staff and with full waitress service at breakfast made a pleasant change. Parking was not a problem as there seems to be adequate places even when busy.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, it is situated in a good position for the cliff lift. The room was a bit on the small size but was spotlessly clean. There was a step up to the bathroom which wouldn't be easy if you had a disability. The shower worked well and there was plenty of hot water when...

We won't be returning. We booked a 'room with a view' & we were not disappointed. The view was stunning. This took away the nightmare situation of the just previous on street parking - getting a space 3 roads away in a less than desirable area (security being our concern). Our room was comfortable & the cleanliness being of a...

Dear Mr Martin I am sorry to see you will not be returning to us but thank you for your positive remarks. The parking is street parking and we do not state we have a car park, it was a Bank Holiday weekend and therefore Scarborough was very busy. We do have all different ages of guests staying with us...

First the only negative, our room didn't have the nicest of views but not everyone can. The staff were excellent, attentive, polite and there when you wanted them. The room was nice enough, but for once for a hotel the bath was big. Big enough for me at 6'4" to enjoy. Plus it had spa jets. The shower in the...
