What a perfect little slice of the Somerset countryside... this Inn in the quaint village of Wheddon Cross epitomises my idea of a British country pub!... We were made to feel welcome as soon as we entered, the locals obviously love the place also. The food was fantastic in itself with the added bonus of a Carvery to suit all...

Visited this pub on Exmoor after Stag watching on Sunday with Red Deer Safaris. We had warm welcome and sat drinking coffee and reading Sunday papers and were invited to go into the carvery early if we wanted as it was ready. Nice carvery with excellent local beef and lamb, decor old fashioned but efficient friendly servers. Would return if...

Stayed here when doing Landrover West Country driving experience. Great pub food. Very friendly & helpful staff. Made all the better by the local company who couldn't have helped more when a friends car broke down. Definitely will stay again.

What a delightful pub? We were driving through this village heading towards a national trust place. We popped in and asked if we could take our dogs in too, they said no problem. It was a Sunday and they had carvery, perfect! The landlord even checked that their customers were happy - we certainly were. It was very busy which...

Definitely not disappointed with wonderful food, reasonably priced with excellent service. They were also very happy for us to take our dog into the restaurant. Would highly recommend this restaurant, but would advise you book, since the pub...

We were staying nearby and this was recommended in our farmhouse literature as a great place to eat so we decided to go to the carvery on Wednesday. It is very popular and we were glad we booked. Three of the four of us had the carvery (one a veggie option) and the other had pork in apricot sauce. The...

A very good place to eat. Plenty of choice on the menu although we went for the carvery (which is on a Wednesday as well as on a Sunday) will definitely go back to try something else. Puddings also great as were the staff.
