The Old Ship Aground is a little gem in Minehead. The rooms are, comfortable and spacious and ours had the added bonus of sea views. There's a great selection of well kept real ale and nice selection of gins. Food was fantastic, tasted delicious and was really well presented.

Great price, food and service...tired rooms but service made up for it. Great views over the back of the hotel and overall superb. Best eggs benedict I've ever had. Lovely people and full up on a Tuesday due to the wonderful food.

The Old Ship Aground is what it is; honest and open; says it all when advertising does not dribble over and capitalise on the view. We chose them to meet our needs at the time. Met every expectation. Cleanliness was faultless; facilities/provisions, especially in rooms, are practical, very well organised and thought through to match the space; designer boutiques must...

There was excellent food and service for both breakfast and evening meal with daily specials as well as a good menu choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great position right by the harbour and walking distance to the town centre.

From the moment I arrived I felt very much looked after. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was exceptionally good, the rooms were comfortable and clean - all this and on the seafront. I would certainly recommend this hotel - they cater for young lively children and dogs too.

If you're looking for an inexpensive stay in Minehead, then this is the way to do it. The Old Ship Aground is a pretty little pub and B&B nestled in Minehead's harbour. This means it's completely within walking distance of The Avenue (Minehead's main shopping street), the beach, the harbour (obviously), and the railway station, and I'm saying this as...

We used to visit this pub a lot years ago but it sort of fell into disrepair. Someone recommended it to us so we thought we would give it a try. Great staff, great food, great value - we didnt expect that!!! It must rank as one of the best pubs in Minehead - but shhhh, dont let everyone know....
