Now called the Cafe, but this is a serious food establishment. We ate here three times finally resorting to "starters" to make sure we had enough room for "deserts" as well. Lovely (massive) burgers and triple cooked chips for the kids, and beautifully cooked lobster and scallops for the adults. All the staff were friendly and great views across the...

We visited Andrews for my wifes birthday, The food looks amazing, each dish is like a work of art, there is a lot of skill on show here. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The only let down was the lack of atmosphere

We have stayed at this welcoming hotel a couple of times. The rooms offer oldfashioned comfort, super beds! Dinner is truly a bargain here. The Chef cooks attractive and very tasty dishes, using local products whenever possible. Porlock and the Weir are interesting and beautiful areas for exploration, and you have the wonderful areas and villages of Exmoor on the...

We were walking the South West Coast Path and only stayed 1 night but wished we could have stayed longer. Porlock Wier is a lovely, small tranquil fishing port that looks heavenly on a summers evening. The room was comfortable but not lavish but, as the name suggests the real reason for staying is the food. The award winning chef...

My husband and I spent our Ruby Wedding Anniversary at Andrews on the Weir. Always a place I had wanted to try and as a surprise my husband booked an overnight stay on a Sunday. The bonus being as well that we could take our Westie dog with us. We found our room excellent. Bed very comfortable, clean and welcoming...

The harbour and surrounding areas were beautiful – especially Valley of the Rocks which we love (although it is a 30 minute drive but well worth a visit – you can literally walk all day and the views are amazing we love this place). Hotel was disappointing carpet and paint work looked tired. Bed comfortable Hotel clean Poor shower (no...

We booked for one night as we were visiting from London to see friends who were having a party nearby. When I made the booking I also made a reservation for Sunday lunch but was called nearer the time to say that they were no longer going to serve lunch on either the Saturday or Sunday. Fair enough, albeit a...

We didn't stay at Andrews, having booked a cottage down the road for a week, but we did visit the restaurant twice. Yes it is a little expensive, but if you like really good food then this is certainly worth shelling out for. Service was quiet and efficient, with time for pre-dinner drinks and nibbles in the comfy lounge. All...
