As lifelong members of the CSMA the advert placed in our members magazine for this hotel seemed the ideal place for a short break. My wife and I were not disappointed, it was perfect, spot on. Food excellent with a change of menu each evening, fellow guests were all so friendly and the atmosphere cosy and relaxed. It is quite...

Our fourth year stay for another seven nights. Yet again an amazing experience. It is so perfect that we were almost relieved by a minor flaw - we returned one evening to find no towels in the room (sorted out by Andy in a few minutes) ... but nice to know they can make a mistake! It is so pleasant...

I was actually tempted to put the title as 'Don't bother booking this hotel.....' and then continuing with '......because that will make sure there will be vacancies the next time I want to book...! But even in jest there are some that won't look beyond the title and it may put them off. We were looking to book a hotel...

My wife and I stayed three nights in September at the Channel House Hotel in Minehead. We had never visited Minehead before and I found the hotel by browsing on Tripadvisor. The reviews for the Channel House were consistently good, every single one being full of praise. It was five stars across the board. I booked us in immediately. The...

The warm welcome extended to guests at this superb small hotel is just the beginning of a delightful experience. Comfortable well equipped bedrooms are complemented by gracious public rooms. Meals are enhanced by the use of local produce wherever possible and all are beautifully prepared and presented. The only potential problem is actually booking a room at this deservedly popular...

This small hotel overlooking the bay is an absolute gem. On arrival you are greeted by Andy who carries your luggage to your spotless room which has enough draws for a long stay! Breakfast offers a wide variety of FRESH fruit (nothing canned), cereals, yoghurts etc and a large selection of cooked goodies of your choice. Dinner is a choice...

When we begin planning our Somerset visit (now our 5th time in 8 years), we never have to think about where we’re going to stay as we wouldn’t dream of lodging anywhere else, other than with Debra & Andy! After you’ve stayed with them once, you feel as though you’ve become part of their family! We dream of their tremendous...

We have had a third stay (7 nights) at the Channel House. 20 nights in total over 3 years. The service, food, housekeeping and cleanliness are 5 stars and we can say now that their consistency of delivering 5 stars is close to perfect. It is only 8 rooms (see their website for details and photos of all rooms). Debra...

This was a great little hotel with fantastic hosts (Debra & Andy). The hotel was a perfect base for exploring the local coast and rolling country hills. The hotel has a warm and welcoming feel about it with fantastic gardens complete with a little varander offering great views over the Mindhead coast. We chose to eat at the hotel during...
